Love the improvements to this pub! It has been transformed by the new owners! Loving the menu - tapas is awesome particularly the scallops and black pudding! It’s a must for food, drinks and great company! If you are in the area then don’t miss it!!

On the pub list and very glad it was. Great selection of ales, all local and all very tasty. Decent food menu and tasty. Lots of nooks and crannys in the pub which we love. Bit of a wait on some food but fresh. Edge of town so not overly busy which was good.

Spent the evening here with friends enjoying a birthday party in the downstairs area. As I got up to leave I cut my leg open on a massive nail sticking out of the table. As I mentioned it to the owner he simply said “yeah we’ve fixed that three times now.” Might want to fix it a fourth? Pic is of the scar, 3 months later.

So we went for a walk up on the ho. and got soaked!! So we stopped in the pub for a cuppa tea and fizzy drink each (pregnant and don't drink) the Kewi bar tender was a fantastic chap. We found our own table and ordered at the bar after we decided. Cause it was only just 12, noon. We had BLT bagettes and a plate of chips to share. Lots of TVs on with sport on, which was fine, I want to go back to watch some boxing. We found ourselves very comfortable, and we will definitely be coming back again. Possible only criticism would be,.. the place needs a lick of paint. But that honestly didn't really bother us.
