Atlantic Motel

This was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I've ever had. We booked a room through ******* the night before our stay. When we arrived with our children, we were told our reservation had been rejected because my credit card was supposedly declined. This made no sense to me because the payment information had been submitted through *******. We never received any notice before arriving that there was a problem with our reservation. I immediately offered to provide a different credit card, but I was then told there were no rooms available. A staff member who seemed kind and reasonable then said they actually did have two rooms available. The owner responded by telling us we were "lucky" and that we should book directly next time. Throughout the interaction, he seemed irritated that we had booked through *******. As I tried to understand what had happened and make sure I wouldn't be charged twice, the owner became increasingly agitated. I also tried explaining to my friend that there was confusion regarding the ******* rate. When I mentioned that they might not honor the ******* price, the owner became offended. Rather than calmly discussing the situation, he went to his elderly parents, who also own the motel, and told them he didn't want us to stay. Despite having traveled there with children and trying to resolve the issue respectfully, we were ultimately left without a hotel room for the night. As we were leaving, the owner said, "Ciao." Given the way we had been treated throughout the encounter, and because we are Latino, the comment felt insulting and mocking to us. I can't say what his intent was, but it added to an already upsetting experience. Booking issues can happen, but the way we were treated was unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile. We left feeling unwelcome and would not stay here again.

Excellent Motel very friendly family oriented and clean best motel in Point Pleasant I would greatly recommend this to any one don’t waste your time or money looking anywhere else very quiet clean and great hospitality safe area close to everything. Best housekeeping staff. Highly recommend to any law enforcement or military personnel very good motel.

Room was amazing! Parking was super convenient and the customer service was outstanding. Clean is an understatement. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Point Pleasant!

Room was nice and clean. Clean and comfortable bed. The staff was very nice and accommodating, even when I called the departing morning and asked for a late checkout. No issues with crazy guests, or noise, etc. The surrounding area is great as well with restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. There’s even a rental car service a 10 min walk from the motel if needed. Stayed for 3 days and would definitely go back.

Front desk clerk was creepy and never bothered to call to say room was ready. Felt very unsafe. We chose to stay elsewhere where we felt comfortable

Nice place, not fancy. I'm unused having produce my own AND my wife's ID when checking into 1 room shared by only us, but they do require that. I think it is a good bang for buck place, but I found the check in a bit offputting.

Always great when we stay here. Rooms are nice people are friendly and there is a lot to do even during the off season

Rooms are extremely clean. Nice and quiet and staff is friendly. We will definitely stay here again.
