We were having a great time at the wave facilities are fab. But we got a horrible surprise at reception today when leaving. Told we had to pay for 2 massages a week ago. It was a lovely start to our holiday. Girl assured me. It was free. Gave thestaff a good top. But told today we had to pay over 200 levsfor them. Sad end to our holiday

Review of Wave Resort Hotel: Rating: 3 stars Pros: - The hotel had a nice ambiance and was aesthetically pleasing. - The cleanliness of the premises was commendable. - The surroundings boasted beautiful scenery, adding to the overall experience. - While the vegan options were limited, the food quality was satisfactory. - The presence of a bistro offering a variety of snacks and drinks was convenient. Cons: - Despite its appearance, the comfort of the beds left much to be desired, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. - Disappointingly, the heated pool failed to live up to its name, as it remained cold throughout our stay. Additionally, the main pool was also uncomfortably cold. - The entertainment provided by the hotel was subpar, poorly managed, and lacked excitement. - The food offered at the hotel's dining venues became repetitive over time, leading to a lack of variety in dining options. - Daily activities within the hotel were limited, resulting in a somewhat boring experience for guests. - Certain amenities, such as the main food stalls near the pool, were unexpectedly closed during our stay. - Overall, there was a lack of engaging activities or entertainment options, leaving guests with not much to do during their stay. In summary, while Wave Resort Hotel offers a visually pleasing environment and satisfactory cleanliness standards, several aspects, including comfort, entertainment, and dining variety, fall short of expectations for a fulfilling stay.

So this is our very first family holiday ( 2 adults & 2 children aged 11 and 6) First off I would like to say this hotel is amazing!!!! The rooms are spacious, food delicious, staff very kind and helpful and located on a beautiful beach. Unfortunately, within the first 48 my youngest got a vomiting stomach bug and husband had severe diarrhea but the doctors here have been fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble. I was however disgusted with Jet2 as we had paid for the safari excursion but my family had fell ill the night before. They told us because we didn't give 24 hours notice then we would loose our 410 lev and would have to pay again!!! Thankfully the doctor spoke to Rep and insisted we got to go on another day as it was no fault of our own and we are due to go this Saturday instead! Sunny beach is around 20 minutes away which a taxi costs 80 lev return (£40) and we LOVED IT there for clothes shopping !!! So many places to buy knockoffs that look totally legit!! I suggest having translator app on phone as language is impossible to read and there english isn't the greatest but we got on fantastic using app. Best bit of all, especially for kids... there is food and drink 24/7!!!! The choices are amazing and so much to choose from. If I were to give a negative it wouldn't be the hotel it would be the time of year!! We are here now (from 14th to 21st May) and the weather has been cold!! If you intend coming this time of year make sure to pack a few jumpers, trousers and slippers as you'll need them! The 1 hour evening entertainment has been great every night! Nick Micheals has been the best singer so far!! All in all we have LOVED it so far and will definitely be returning as long as the country doesn't change to Euro !

We stayed for 7 nights at the beginning of May, which was the 'soft season' so it was not very busy which was great, but not the amenities were available. Spotlessly clean throughout the property, huge rooms (we were on the 5th floor with partial side view) with comfortable beds and a mini bar which gets restocked daily. There is iron or steamer in the room. The spa was really good! The steam, sauna, relaxation room and gym are part of the all inclusive package. The gym is large with modern equipment which is pretty is impressive for a hotel. The staff make this hotel a,true 5* - they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I had a hot stone massage by Nina and all I can say is WOW! Nina is the best and has magical hands. The water park was closed bit I'm sure it will be a hit for the children when in season. The drinks were all tip shelp alcoholic beverages. I would only add that it was a shame that the pins colada was not the true cocktail as it did not have coconut milk; instead they used liqueur. Prosecco is available all day which was nice. The manager, his name begins with V, is a true asset to the Bar team as he was a true professional - always smiling and recommending drinks. The food was fresh and tasty. It could have been a lot warmer, though. Evening entertainment was varied - but we had fun on most nights. The Bulgarian restaurant was a nice A La Carte touch - the 4 courses were divine. The weather was not great, but that is no fault of the hotel. Better to go in season between June and October as the resport is right on the black sandy beach, so the water would be warmer. The resort is in the middle of nowhere but there is a free hotel shuttle bus which takes you into the nearby towns. Suitable for couples, families and friends. If you are a woman,I would be mindful of travelling solo as some of the men are very full on, which I witnessed. Quite disturbing and something staff should keep a close eye on.

Wave Resort is a place that cannot be described in a few words . At the lobby bar you can drink a great espresso. Every morning have delicious, varied and nutritious breakfast. At lunch or dinner, the variety is so great that it is extremely difficult to make a choice. I will mention the delicious soups, great pizzas, spaghetti. Various types of prepared meat delicacies are available. The food is prepared in front of the guests. Wave resort rooms have a great design, are spacious and cozy. I personally didn't like the desserts, but that's just me. But there is one big exception, and that's the eclairs. Incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, he only had them at lunch once. The mini bar in rooms is refilled daily if you have requirements from Wave Resort will assist you. For example, I don't drink regular coca cola, but cola with zero sugar. My next holiday in Wave Resort in May 2024

We spent two weeks ago 10 really great days at Wve Resort Pomorie. It was our second visit within 2 years and nothing changed between both visits. Always great food, great atmopshere, amazing fitness accommodation and an engaged entertainment team. We also visit this year the old city of Nessebar which really impressed us and we recommand to visit if you are in the neighborhood. We will probably move to another location next year but we will come back for sure. If we could really recommend one thing to the Hotel Management is really to improve this mess of each morning with the towel war. Too stupid to have people waking up at 6 o’clock in the morning to reserve their place near to the pool. This should be forbidden and there should be more discipline. For the rest we really recommand this family hotel at it is a great place to spend their holiday. For all future guests….enjoy as we enjoy it….

How anyone can be dissatisfied with this hotel is beyond us! I admit I was worried having read some recent reviews, but it wasn't necessary. The hotel works so hard, the staff never stop, the place is spotless, the food and drink offer never ends and it is beautiful. Comments that some staff are rude is nonsense. Everyone we have crossed is perfectly pleasant and some struggle with the language barrier. How many peope make the effort to learn basic pleasantries in Bulgarian?! What I have noticed is just the lack of basic manners from many guests when interacting with staff. Kindness costs nothing. The rooms are fantastic with mod cons inc a fancy coffee machine and as a family of 4 we have plenty of room sharing one room comfortably. The facilities are fantastic, we enjoy the evening entertainment and one of the highlights for us so far is the salt lake next to the hotel, definitely try it out. The pool scene is idyllic with quieter parts, inc an adult only area age 16+, and busier livelier ends for younger children and those wanting to join in with activities. Best of all NO SUNBED WARS!!! Plenty to go round. Not tried out one of the a la carte restaurants, which we will this weekend. Trip to Pomorie tomorrow on the free shuttle and we plan to hire a car to explore Nessebar and other parts or coastal Bulgaria. If you are looking for a bit of a treat, but value for money compared to equivalent hotel offerings in nearby countries, then don't hesitate. One tip though,we have been lucky to travel to many places at similar temperatures, but never known to burn so easily. Go high on the sun factor and bring uv tops and hats for kids. We will be recommending this hotel to friends and family. Get it booked!

We were staying in an apartment in Pomorie and decided to try the all inclusive day pass (10.00 - 18.00) at the Wave Resort. We took a taxi there which cost 40 leva as the resort is actually in Aheloy. On arrival the reception staff were very helpful. The hotel is extremely clean throughout and having lived in a small village in Bulgaria, staying in many hotels and apartment during our time, I can honestly say it’s the best hotel by far! Extremely clean, friendly hard working staff and maintained to a very high standard. We arrived around 10.30am. We tried the Bistro bar, there were plenty of beautiful snacks, rolls (meats & cheese,) salads, fruits, cakes and drinks (soft, hot, alcohol.) We strolled along to the pool bar area. Passing the fantastic fountains and beautiful gardens. Amazing selection of drinks and the barman was so lovely (some of the guests were so ignorant and rude to him but he was still pleasant to them.) So many pools to choose from but the water was very cold but that didn’t phase us! We went down to the beach bar and it was such a relaxing area, again there was a great selection of drinks. The beach is mainly black sand, shells and pebbles (footwear would be advisable but not completely necessary.) A bit of a slope down to the sea (quite steep in places.) Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas available. The sea was quite warm, thankfully no jellyfish and only a small amount of sea grass. Some lovely waves to jump and have fun. The cocktail bar was lovely and the snacks available near the amphitheater were wonderful. There were lovely children’s pools (although we didn’t need them as we were a group of 3 adults.) The water slides were great fun but care is needed climbing up the wet tiled stairs to reach them. The main buffet restaurant for lunch was fantastic, plenty of choice and the staff were all pleasant and worked extremely hard. The indoor games area had a few things to do but I did think a 5 leva token to play pool was a little expensive. The Lobby bar and terrace was a lovely end to our time there. We didn’t have the time to make use of the spa area, sadly. Overall I would highly recommend the day pass and would love to actually stay at the hotel. With the prices of food/drinks on the coast, the all inclusive day pass is extremely worth it and the facilities are outstanding! The staff work extremely hard, they are friendly and the hotel is of very high standards for Bulgaria!
