Wonderful location. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Outstanding rooftop lounge. They made our trip as good as it could possibly be. From the welcome and making dinner reservations to the top notch service in all ways. Great view of the marina and perfect starting location to walk around the city or drive around the island.

We stayed here today and had extremely moldy pillows. That ruined it for us as my wife is asmatic.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions, restaurants, etc. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. Parking on-site. I'd recommend this hotel and would go again for sure.

We were blown away with this hotel which we booked several months in advance directly from the website. Lovely room and bathroom with fabulous view of the harbour. The balcony had a table and 2 chairs and caught the sun till mid afternoon but the outdoor terrace/pool on the 7th floor got the sun longer. The whale watching bar nearby was a delightful place to watch the boats. A fantastic breakfast was served on the first floor. The staff were all incredibly helpful particularly those on reception.

We stayed at the Octant Ponta Delgada for our first 3 nights on the island of Sao Miguel and had a fantastic family stay! The family room set-up exceeded our expectations...we were in rooms 622 and 623, located at the end of the hallway on the 6th floor. There was a key secured door that then led into the foyer for the two rooms which was perfect for us to leave shoes, coats, etc. We then had key secured access to both rooms - but with the outer secure door, were able to leave the doors open at night so the kids could come get us as needed! The hotel had kid sized robes, slippers and bath items, along with stuffed bears for our littles - love the little touches. Both rooms were comfortable with our only real complaint being the bathroom lighting, but that is the case in the majority of hotels world-wide. From booking through check-out the staff were friendly, helpful and a real shining element of this property. We utilized their valet car service which was very reasonably priced. The parked our car any time we arrived at the hotel and it was pulled around in brisk fashion any time we were departing. Breakfast each morning was plentiful - a beautiful spread of items and a chef preparing eggs as desired. We did not have any other meals at the hotel, but the roof top bar was awesome for grabbing a nightcap! There is also a pool on the roof, but it was too cold the time of year we stayed. They did offer to let us have the kids swim in the spa pool and booked an hour slot for us one morning, but our plans changed and we cancelled the booking - it was super nice they were willing to accommodate us though! Overall, we have no complaints and would stay here again! It is on the outskirts of city center, so a 15 minute walk to the main part of town, but very convenient and easy to find when coming/going for the day.
