We were having a family gathering and wanted to stay outside of Jacksonville. Our reservation was accidentally changed by the hotel. We were not sure what to expect. However the hotel front person Chase eased our concerns showed us a couple of rooms and we we ended up having a good time even know our rooms were not together. And all 10 of us enjoyed breakfast compliments of the hotel and Chase made sure we were having a nice stay. Great location and hotel was very clean!!

Staycation gone right. We live in Ponte Vedra Beach but needed to vacate our home for a few days while the floors were being sanded. We started at another well know chain that is #2 of 2 hotels in PVB. We did this because we had points and it was therefore free. They couldn’t accommodate us for Friday night so we switched over to the #1 hotel in PVB. Thank goodness this happened or I may have never found out what a great place the HGI is and how lucky we are to have them so close. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a small suite with a balcony. The bed was comfy. The bathroom and shower excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. I love the little snack shop in the lobby for late night munchies. We were only here one night but will recommend it and maybe staycation again. The attached Mulligans restaurant is a real gem and a new breakfast place for locals like us. If you have a choice between the two hotels in Sawgrass Village, stay at HGI - not the other place. There are also resorts in the area on the beach but ocean front rooms like ocean front homes are really expensive. Probably 200% more expensive.

The carpet in the room was not clean. later I receive a text asking how the room is and when I mentioned it I was promised that someone will come to clean it. No one showed up. For a $290 per night, this is horrible service.
