Fabulous place, room very well equipped, linen, towels etc all top quality. Well stocked tea tray, good chair so i could do some work in comfort at the desk/dressing table. Secure parking too. 10 minute walk into town centre. Not a place for the general contractors. Have stayed before and will stay again when working in the area.

We had to ask for the heating to be switched on in the bedroom when we arrived and there was no heating at all in the morning. It was very cold. We emailed her to ask for the heating to be put on but no reply till we got home. Seemingly there was no one on the premises to help. Apart from being cold, the room was pleasant. There was some traffic noise but it didn’t bother us.

Nice clean room in a very good condition. Only minor gripe is that I couldn’t get any hot water for a shower in the morning. A pub offering food, including a carvery, is just a few hundred metres walk away.

From the wonderful decor to the warmest of hosts Carol, a gorgeous clean room and fabulous bed. I love this hotel. I’m here on business for 3 nights and I’m so glad I booked it. I’m a female solo business traveller and I feel safe and cosy. Carol is a delight and I would not hesitate to stay here again, thanks Carol !

Totally exceeded my expectations. The rooms are a good size and very well appointed. I've stayed in far worse 5 star hotels before. The bed was so confortable that I missed it when I got back into my own bed.... that never happens normally.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
The off street secure parking is also a welcome bonus.
Definitely recommended if staying in the area.

The stay was suitable for location to the Pontefract squash club and restaurants. A bit a stair climb to our room and parking was an a bit congested.
