I tried many hotels in this area, it took me a while to find the best, mainly due to eliminating the ones with poor internet, This one has good internet, Is classed as a 3 star but the rooms are all modern with good facilities and really clean and comfortable, great showers, The hotel is on top of one of the Welsh hills and surrounded by Sheep farms with great views, free and easy parking and the hotel team are very welcoming and provide excellent service, I stayed around 7 times now and always return a few times each year, Nice bar and eating areas too,

When arriving for the first time you know this will be very rural when you have to drive around the cattle grazing on the road. The hotel is about a mile down a narrow lane at the top of a hill. The views from the top are superb. There is sufficient parking, though the overflow car park can be hard to spot. It's hard to think that you are just 30 minutes or so from Cardiff city centre. Check in was straightforward and the room was a little larger than the average double hotel room. It had all the usual facilities and bonus: this hotel still puts out biscuits! Breakfast was booked in 30 minute slots, the menu is excellent and it is freshly cooked. There is also a buffet of cereals, pastries etc. Staff were friendly and the service was excellent. We visit Cardiff quite often and, rather than find a hotel in the city, I think we will make this our first choice in the future. Footnote for EV drivers; I could see no charge point here. The nearest town with a decent number seems to be Caerphilly, about 6 or 7 miles away.

A very welcoming, friendly and helpful team. Stunning location, beautiful scenery and the hotel is tastefully decorated throughout. Our bedroom was lovely, very comfy bed, good quality pillows and en-suite was a great size. The only downside was we couldn't stay longer!! I will definitely stay again & highly recommended a stay here.

If I had the money, I would buy Llechwen Hall to live in. The location is fantastic, in the country, far enough away from road noise for total peace and quiet, but close enough to get to local towns. Ideal. We have been doing weddings as a supplier here for 17 years, attended all sorts of functions, dining experiences and overnighters. Each one has given us as a business, a couple and a family memories we will cherish. The food here is top class, and regardless of why we are there, always made to feel special with a warm welcome from everyone we come into contact with. Sunday lunches are awesome and great value for money too. The owners have transformed the venue into an absolute gem, but kept the charm and historic feel. The staff here are efficient, friendly and know how to give a great service. The rooms are beautiful, the best showers and pillows! We dont need much of an excuse to visit Llechwen, it is one of my favourite places for many reasons. Looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommended.

This stunning venue is amazing in every aspect, and we love so much about it. The location is tranquil with amazing views from every angle. As a business, we have done well over 100 weddings here, as a couple we've eaten breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, sunday lunch, stayed over many times and been to several functions. Consistently excellent. Our latest visit was for a wedding party. The bride used to be in the management team here, and chose here to get married - that should say so much to anyone. The garden marquee looked stunning, and the bbq food we had was delicious. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and scrupulously clean. The breakfast was delicious. The time before this we ate at their valentines evening. A taster menu, several different courses, and all we can say, is chef paul deserves a Michelin Star for the quality, innovative food he and his team served up on the night. It really was top draw. We know how passionate the whole team are at Llechwen, and it shows. Great value for money and a beautiful place to be for any reason. A truly special place for any occasion!

Excellent in every way! From the polite and helpful receptionist, to cosy, comfortable & clean rooms the hotel surpassed expectations. The evening meal was exceptional, as was the service - thank you Emma! I would definitely return & recommend The Llechwen Hall Hotel.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, used a voucher we had as a Chris**as pressie. Used to visit the hotel and restaurant a lot but not been for quite a few years so great to see all the changes, although maybe lost a little character, be nice to see more paintings or similar on the walls, looked a bit bare, maybe a work in progress? However, excellent value for money and a very good chef. Wanted to leave a tip for Matthew the waiter who was very good but as we paid for drinks on a card was told we could not do this. Staff were all very welcoming and good service, will definitely be returnng soon.
