The service and staff were amazing nothing too much trouble.
Breakfast fantastic, and afternoon tea just delightful. The hotel was a joy to share time in and relax.

The reception staff were brilliant. Warm and purposeful. Welcoming. Interested in us as visitors. Process of signing in was easy and car parking made simple.
A bottle of fizz in our room as a goodwill token to celebrate our silver wedding was a most pleasant and heart warming surprise. Just a detail, but big moments are made up of those little details.
The room was spacious with a phenomenal view across the harbour. It was generously supplied with a range of coffees and teas, and drinking chocolate! Biscuits and water replenished daily. A working fridge. Tv and great free Wi-Fi. Bathroom was immaculate and supplied with copious amounts of towels, plus bathrobes and ‘slippers’ us both.
Staff around the hotel were always friendly and helpful. A special dinner was just that…special. Great food. Good choice of wines. Formal dining with harbour views as a backdrop. Downstairs ‘pub’ was just great.
All in all a highly enjoyable three day break. Yes the Greenbank in some aspects shows its age, but never in the key aspects of comfort and care, so we didn’t care. The highlights for us above all were the people who looked after us. Brilliant.
Our second visit will surely see a third sometime in the future.

Lovely hotel, stylish, good service in bar and restaurant. The only issue we had was with the quality of the room cleaning service, as on one of the days the soiled toilet was left as is, and on another day the two flannels were replaced with an extra bath mat… We would have gladly cleaned up after ourselves if a toilet brush had been provided. My husband had to use tissue to clean the bowl by hand, which is not at all ideal, so the one thing that would have made it perfect would have been a toilet brush! However apart from this we had a lovely stay, great room with the most beautiful view. Thanks for having us.

I didn’t want to leave here! What a beautiful hotel! A 5 minute walk from the town, this hotel. The staff were outstanding.. all of them, from the restaurant staff, to bar staff to receptionist. The young bar supervisor I think called Jordan was just brilliant. So helpful. The room was large and clean and well equipped, even get slippers and bath robes. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was out of this world! 10/10, I will certainly be back!

The views are stunning, breakfast is wonderfully prepared and presented, the meals are absolutely ecellent. But the most important thing is the friendliness of the staff. Although it must have been stressful for them when the Sea Shanty festival started we felt welcome all the time, nothing was too much. Our stay at the Greenbank Hotel was a wonderful experience which we would like to repeat.

We were treated by our best friends to a fantastic meal the Greenbank hotel. The service was 1st class and the food was exceptional. We were celebrating our ruby wedding anniversary and the staff went the extra mile to ensure the evening was unforgettable. The views across the water is definitely worth the review alone.

Was booked into this hotel by our companies travel site. I was due to spend two nights but due to work commitments I only needed one night. No refund was available, this is not a favorable hotel when on business. Check the cancellation policy prior to booking.
