Hotel was nice overall. Front desk manager was very interactive; less so from the desk clerks but all were friendly. Location is adjacent to the I-10 and near several fast food eateries. Room was large and outlined well in posts below. Closet space was adequate. There were blackout curtains which were necessary in the afternoon. Downside for our room was a musty aroma but I couldn't tell if it as from cleaning supplies, the carpets or both. It wasn't a dealbreaker but I like hotel rooms that have a neutral/no odor smell that usually tells me how clean the carpets might be. The humidity is quite high in Baton Rouge but that should have no strong bearing on the inside of the room when windows are closed. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. A/C worked well. I did not find a room safe in our particular room. It would be nice to have to lock up valuables. The living area could use a few more lights to brighten up the room at night; and the use of cool white just about everywhere except in the kitchen makes the room less cozy but that's a matter of personal preference. There was a flat screen TV with cable to stay entertained. Wi fi was also available in the rooms that worked well with adequate speed. There was a kitchenette with nice size and clean refrigerator, sink with new sponges and soap, dishwasher, microwave, paper towels, cooking pans, plates, bowls; all the things one needs for a long-term stay. These proved to be great even for our four night stay. The bathroom was spotless, well-lighted, and roomy. Drains on the bathtub and sink worked well. The towels were adequate. The hotel does housekeeping every other day so that may be why the towel supplies were better than most hotels. Bath uses pump bottles attached to the wall, which were really nice. Sink area uses bar soap and a few lotion amenities. Ventilation fan exhausted air adequately. The morning breakfast was above average. It was a not breakfast everyone morning with scrambled eggs, a breakfast meat, hot breakfast sandwiches, potatoes, waffle maker, fresh whole fruit, yogurt variety, cold cereals, instant grits, milk, orange and apple juice, hot coffee from a pump urn, flavored creamers, packaged cinnamon rolls and muffins, breads and toaster. No complaints having ate breakfast at the hotel four days in a row. Shared eating areas were kept clean by staff. The pool looked nice but due to the outside heat the water was too warm and I did not see anyone use the pool at all while I was there. There was a small exercise gym with treadmills and other standard equipment to stay fit. The parking area was well-lit and seemed safe to park your vehicle at night. The hotel is next to I-10 so the southside of the hotel could get traffic noise so I would suggest you request a room on the north side away from the freeway noise and view. So I give a 4 dot rating due to the unidentifiable aroma. Overall, the hotel is very clean and well-maintained.

The room had mold in the rug. It caused a headache that even the Benadryl and Motrin could not help. Management did not seem to care about the mold. It is obvious to anyone as they enter the room. Unfortunately, I had purchased the room through Priceline. I had no recourse and no choice but to stay in the room. I spent $175 and probably would’ve had better conditions in a hotel half that price.

We stayed 2 nights here and had a room with a large dining table and full size fridge, dishwasher and two burner stove and lots of space. Room was clean and bed comfortable. We had been on the road for several days and wanted to do a wash but the washers and dryers at the property only took quarters ($3.50 for the washer and $3.00 for the dryer for 30 mins). Unfortunately the front desk didn’t have any quarters that we could buy. The result was that we had to go looking for a bank to buy a roll of quarters which was an inconvenience. Breakfast had a good selection including a waffle maker.

I stopped here late one evening for a quick night sleep as I traveled on a long business trip. Shannon got me checked promptly, upgraded my room and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was more robust than I expected and Checkout was a breeze. I’ll be making this place a regular stop as I travel through La.

We enjoyed our one night stay at this Marriott. It is located close to the freeway but far enough so that you cannot hear the noise. The room was clean and neat, toiletries and kitchenette - all stacked with everything you may need. Room was nice size and bed was comfortable. Special thanks to the staff: excellent customer service and very decent breakfast. Would definitely return back. Indeed, not many dining options nearby so you may want to think about either bringing something with you for dinner or plan to have it on your way to the hotel.

Upon arriving to the hotel we were greeted by the amazing front desk clerk. The check in process was a breeze. Once we got to the room we were acquainted by a fresh smell from the room. The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel was new and very modern. We will be coming back and highly recommend this property to all traveling in this area.

We stayed at the property following the Final Four games in NOLA. As with all of my reviews, let's go Pros and Cons. PROS 1. Our limited interactions with the staff were positive. 2. The room was as expected for a TownPlace Suites. CONS 1. The walls were thin and we could easily hear our neighbors talking very early in the morning. 2. We experienced traffic backups heading east leading to and driving over the I-10 bridge into Baton Rouge. You may want to budget extra time if you're on a schedule. 3. There aren't many dining options in Port Allen. OVERALL: If and when we return to Baton Rouge, we'd probably stay in the city.

This hotel offers one of the best experiences all around from the stay, the staff and food provided! Gus runs a tight ship and ensures that he himself and his staff puts their best foot forward everyday! I stayed here for over four months and never had a problem that couldn’t be solved immediately and very rarely had an issue period. Ms. Troy is another that made my stay enjoyable with our daily breakfast conversations, she does her best to make each guest fill welcomed as they come down for breakfast. The cleaning ladies are very adamant about keeping the hotel constantly in its best shape possible consistent in cleaning. The front desk staff as well ensure to be available at all times to greet you coming or going. Best stay in LA!
