Good location for port Arthur visiting. In house restaurant good. Rooms Could do with an update

The location was so close to Port Arthur Historic Site. We had an early night after having dinner there as they have a bar and restaurant on site. Dinner was good, service was great. Food came within 30 to 45 minutes wait time. We needed to use the laundry service onsite, and the cost of 4 x $1 coin to operate washer and same price for tumble dryer. There was not enough site parking near our room so we had to go right to the end and park at overflow parking. Internet wifi was available but very slow. The shower was a very tight space with a shower curtain enclosure. Toiletries like hair shampoo, soap bar, body wash and conditioner were supplied. Beds and towels were all clean and up to standards. Great for a one night stay for family.

It's very convenient next to the author port. It's very close and has complete facilities. You can park your car and there's a great view outside the window. It's super awesome.

The Port Abbey Motel is super close to the Port Arthur Gaol Historic Site. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the hotel restaurant is the historical site. There are no other restaurants nearby except the hotel restaurant. But his restaurant is delicious.

Amazing location clean rooms great restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful going out of their way to assist with pointing out local attractions that should be visited. Restaurant had a full menu despite having little bookings due to COVID and the food was very good as well as reasonably priced.
On arrival, the staff had already turned on the heat in my room as it was a cold day and opened the restaurant bar for pre dinner drinks. Highly recommend staying at this location

The only place to stay that’s actually within the grounds of the Port Arthur site. I actually felt very comfortable here although the rooms could probably do with a bit of of a make over as they’re looking a bit aged. Have to say the remote stayed in the bed was incredibly comfortable. Wi-Fi a bit patchy but not really a surprise given where we are. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was really nice food. Particularly recommend a seafood chowder. Staff were always very friendly. And I would stay again.

Very dated, could feel the springs in the lumpy bed, shower was tiny and had mould growing in it, near empty soap dispenser in bathroom. Couldn’t access our Port Arthur tour from site however it was advertised that we could. Staff were friendly and accomodating.
