We really enjoyed our stay at Fox and Hounds Historic Hotel. Very clean, warm and comfortable room. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is amazing. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

A quaint hotel close to the historic Port Arthur site. We were given a cosy 2 bedroom apar**ent with kitchen, lounge and dining area so we cooked the food we already had. Great service from the reception staff. Can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat there. I would definitely stay there again. No hesitation in recommending this budget hotel for accommodation.

A historical hotel, one of the best and closest around Port Arthur. It is very close to the prison attractions. There are good restaurants and bars. There is no breakfast service, but there is one not far from the highway.

Room space and cleanliness is average. Water in hotel not drinkable, nor useable and it is yellowish. Though they provide bottle water, it's troublesome coz need to keep asking for water to drink, brush teeth and even rinse cup. No automatic room cleaning like changing of towels and refilling toiletries. Insects can be seen crawling in the bedroom. Disappointed w the overall experience staying at the hotel given its not so cheap price and photos on trip.com.

very good. A lot of free water was given (because the water here is not drinkable). The food in the restaurant was pretty good. I ordered a curry beef rice, and my partner ordered Tasmanian salmon.
