Port Douglas Hotels with Breakfast

Expensive for the reason, superb travel experience, convenient travel, clean and sanitary, I strongly recommend everyone to come here, take a taxi, eat, communicate, it is very convenient, going abroad is convenient.

We stayed at Peppers for Christmas and New Year holiday. The location is great for walking distance into town and walking to 4 mile beach is an easy walking distance as well. The oil is great and very kids friendly with a nice Sandy shallow edge all the way around. We have a ground floor room with a spa bath and this was used a lot in the evening to relax, you don’t have full privacy so wear your swim suit but that’s no problem. The rooms are nice and comfortable for two people. The breakfast is not buffet style you order off a menu and they have almond milk which is great if you are like me and enjoy a almond mocha or hot chocolate. The only downside I have to this place is they don’t give you complimentary water in your room. Nor is there a water fountain where you can fill up your bottles during the day? Unless I’m missing something but they try to be eco friendly with their room service cutlery and food packaging but no eco friendly options for water. I drink anywhere from 1-3 litres of water a day especially up in a tropical climate. So definitely a few water fountains installed around the place would be amazing. Some places I’ve stayed have both still and sparkling water fountain options. Other than that we had a great stay and the staff were really nice, the small gym is good for a quick cardio and simple weights workout and the layout we had no trouble with. It is a hotel apartment, we all cook ourselves, and the kitchen and kitchen facilities are complete. Hotel location is not very convenient for public transportation. We are self-driving and about ten minutes drive to the city centre. The hotel can park for free.

Unfortunately this visit to Port was a family death & funeral. We made a booking sight unseen as we needed to have a place to stay at very short notice. The staff were very accomodating as we potentially had a late check in which was no problem. We had a king size room which was clean and well presented. Had an outdoor spa and a balcony which was very nice. Had 2 large pools and 2 BBQ areas. Room had both aircon & fan and was very comfortable. It was very convenient a short walking distance to the heart of Port. Would recommend

The environment is good, there are standard resort scenery, pool, pool table, bar are OK. At night, the lights under the swimming pool are dim, and it feels very suitable for the swimsuits to line up, but unfortunately the pool is not open at night. Health, the overall facilities are not bad. In the evening, the hotel restaurant can order some western food, and the price and taste are not bad. The only thing that is inconvenient is that the traffic is not convenient. If you want to go out for dinner and need to walk for more than half an hour, the hotel can also help to call the bus, but it is still not convenient.

Room was ok, on the smaller side, basic. Could do with a freshen up, I.e. rubbish bin in bathroom with rusting lid. TV ok, had foxtel, no streaming services. Quiet enough at night to sleep, but noisy otherwise, pool means kids up early playing and could hear people in halls/above. Not ideal if you want a holiday sleep in. Pool was nice, quite cool in temperature. Music definitely too loud, hard to relax with it cranking all day. Given the reviews was better than I expected, but wouldn’t want to stay for a long trip here. More a motel than a hotel/resort.

Awful experience. When we first arrived it was great. Lovely service then it all went down hill. We were given keys to someone else’s room so when we opened the door someone else’s things were everywhere in there. We then went back to reception and they moved us to another room right next door to the laundry mat and also a lift that was being renovated. When I asked about noise and if this was on their website they said an email was sent out. This was not the case had we of known we would have looked elsewhere. I asked how close to the noise it was and she said we were 3 rooms away. Again when we checked in. Our room was directly next to the lift. I asked if we could moved and was advised they were fully booked (this wsd not the case as we checked the website and there was rooms available) we then asked to speak to the supervisor and was met with a very inexperienced unprofessional young man who proceed to do absolutely nothing about it and offer us $25. Are you kidding! He said he would email it over. $25 would barely buy a garlic bread in their restaurant. when we did finally go to the restaurant we said we wanted to use the voucher. We checked our emails and had nothing. The gentlemen’s then said we needed a physical voucher from reception which we didn’t get. Again focussing on the “managers” incapabilities . Hardly compensation for the horrible experience. We then went to our room and overnight the air conditioner didn’t get what felt below 27 degrees and the room was awfully warm. It also makes a horrible noise so now we had a sleepless night to top it off. Awful awful experience and I won’t be back or recommending this hotel. If your going to stay in port Douglas do yourself a favour and stay closer to the Main Street as this is also about a 7 min drive to the shops and nightlife.

I will start by saying I am not your typical nostel stayer. I am 36 years old and was visitng Australia on a solo vacation. I really loved staying at the Port Douglas Backpackers. I opted for a private room and honsetly think it was one of the best deals in town. I had my own private bathroom and the hostel offered many of the same amenities you would find ina standard hotel. It had a lovely pool, great staff that were happy to both help you find tours, answer questions and welcome and introduce you to other guest and staff. I felt very welcome and well-taken care of by the staff. The room was spacious, great AC, clean and even had a TV ( aluzury in a hostel), . For the most part, it was quietThe location couldn't be beat. Only a few minutes walk right to the heart of the village. Access to lots of coffee shop, stores, grocery, bars and restaurants. Port Douglas is a charming town and I wish I had booked more nights at the PD Backpackers. I would highly recommend it for travelers of all ages who are looking for an affordable option in a resort town like Port Douglas.

I want to take the whole family with me next time. The food is good. The hotel staff are friendly. The bed wasn't particularly small.
