Hotel Eisenhower
3.6/542 Reviews
Family of 5 exploring the DDay beaches seeks value lodging close to all. Hotel Eisenhower fit the bill. It is very hard in Europe to find accommodations for a group, so when we decided to do an overnight from Paris to Normandy, I had trouble finding a place that was economical and able to fit our family. The hotel is right near the port area, which is super cute and full of restaurants and shops. We did have trouble parking in the lot, but since parking is free in the town we just had to walk a few blocks which wasn’t so bad. The room itself was large, clean and had 6 individual beds (2 set of bunk beds and 2 twins). We slept comfortably. This is by no means a luxury stay, but it worked for the one night we were in the area. The only problem we encountered were ants in the room, on a table that was under a window to a garden. We moved out items off of it, and they didn’t seem to follow. I also would not recommend the breakfast if you are the economical type-I have no idea what they had but at 9 euros a pop, we decided to get some croissants and coffees at the local boulangerie and eat dockside instead.
