Beautiful hotel from the outside, the restaurant was brilliant and staff were faultless. The only negatives I would have would be that the outdoor jacuzzi pool was closed the day we arrived, we were not made aware of this until we were in the spa and that was really the reason why we went there so was quite disappointing. Regarding the room it was spacious however it was roasting and I would say a bit of updating would be great, the finishings with things such as rust and the shower lining being black were just things that I really don’t appreciate when staying away. The spa itself probably needs an update too as it’s a bit dated and doesn’t give a premium service, despite people having slippers some people came in with shoes so the floor wasn’t great and just wasn’t up to standard. Overall the food and staff were great but the facilities were a bit of a let down as well as the room. I wouldn’t let that put you off but it’s not a premium which I would have hoped for when staying away.

FIRST CLASS stay! George and his team were amazing and made our ‘double retirement’ celebration extra special - overwhelmed with the kindness shown. Room was absolutely fabulous and immaculately clean, very good food and loved the pool and hot tub. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back. Thank you all, especially George :)

Fantastic place to stay. All the staff go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and to help in any way. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean. Stayed twice as it was so good. Stunning views across the Clyde.

The experience was lovely the only thing that really let the experience down was the noise in the room. From checking in the was a very loud noise coming from above and below the room. It was the sound of other guests going up and down the stairs directly outside, above and below the room. Everything else was great lovely hotel and very kind staff.

I hate writing bad reviews as this is not in my nature, however I was slightly disappointed with the place. Only writing as this place can definitely do better as it has a great potential and take it as a feedback. The only good thing I can highlight is the restaurant and the food was first class. The waiting staff as well were amazing and would highly recommend the food. Beautiful view wherever you looked around. The room were we stayed it was painted recently including the heating radiator. Once the heating was on the smell of the paint was unbearable. I could not sleep all night and could not wait for the morning to wake up and go away. The room looked dated and broken chair in the room. 1. The spa was overcrowded when we went there, could probably do with another spa? 2. Swimming pool was ok, although no enough space to hang your bathrobes 3. Definitely lack of signage all over the place 4. Getting to the swimming pool you had to walk through the ladies changing room, found it a bit awkward. 5. The floor on the corridor was making squeaking noise every time somebody was walking and it will wake you up every time. 7. Were charged for the dessert when we checked out despite it was included on the deal/ menu. Didn't make a fuss as wanted to tip the waiting staff for their amazing service anyway.

Nice stay again, staff very helpful. We had a lovely room, exactly as we'd hoped. We did have a couple of issues - had to ask for the duvet to be changed as it was a single size on a queen bed, but this was done quickly. I had real problems with in-house Wi-Fi. We were on room only, but had drinks and dinner one night in The Nineteenth which we enjoyed. Pool area was very busy when we were there, with people leaving wet towels everywhere and 'saving' chairs and beds that we nerver saw anyone using, suggest staff check/ clear the pool area more often. Sauna wasnt working but we weren't told this. Still like the hotel and the area, it might be a while but we will be back.

Stayed for a special occasion. Access to rooms is through a maze of stairs and corridors. Rooms reasonable size. Beds comfortable but one of our beds had a single quilt inside a double quilt cover, discovered too late at night to alert housekeeping. No information on how to use room telephone. Robes and slippers free and can be used for the spa. Coffee tray well stocked. Tunnocks Caramel Wafers....yum! Bathrooms need refurbishment as sink cracked in one of our rooms. Great views. Lovely landscaping in the gardens. Spa treatments were great as were the friendly treatment staff. Must be booked well in advance of stay as the spa and pool are also open to non residents. Rust in pool. Rust on water machines or mould, not sure which. Spa seating areas had soaking wet floors which were never dried or mopped. Jacuzzi broken on 1st day of our stay, no discount or complimentary service offered. Bar service only available in 19th Hole which seems to be the golf club. No other bars open. Service was extremely slow. Dropped glass was cleaned up but when we sat at same table the next day some glass still there. Whilst sitting in this area having a drink , there were painters touching up the walls. No signs to alert customers to wet paint! Breakfast Buffet was tasty and had a good range of items.lovely staff in Breakfast room. Overall could be a great place but needs some care and attention.

We spent one night at Gleddoch as part of a package deal with dinner and breakfast. Hotel and grounds look lovely from the outside and our room (four poster) was clean, spacious, and included coffee machine, comfy bed, fridge and a lovely view. I booked in for a massage at the spa which was excellent. We also made use of the spa facilities/pool etc. They were disappointing. The whole place was grubby looking (dirt/mouldy grout/tiles missing etc). There weren’t enough facilities for the number of people there. The common areas of the hotel also weren’t the cleanest. Could also do with a freshen up decor-wise. Food and drinks were nice but service extremely slow at both breakfast and dinner. For context, restaurant was quiet but we still waited around 45 mins for mains and about 20 mins for coffee at breakfast.

We had the perfect wedding day at Gleddoch. The food, service and rooms were great. The events team were amazing from the early planning to making the day fantastic. Thank you Sharlene, Kirsty, David and all the team that looked after us so well!
