First, the positive: our room was clean. And that's about it. The cafe is no more, having closed permanently. There's a Chevy on blocks in front of one of the cabins and various snow removal pieces strewn about. The only view from our room was of the train tracks and we were serenaded by several trains during our one-night stay. There was no water pressure in either the bathroom sink or shower if someone in another room decided to simultaneously flush a toilet or have a shower. The reception area is a joke. Our air condition unit made more noise than the passing trains. Apart from a couple of student desk lamps on the bedside tables, there was one dim overhead light in the room. The hairdryer had one speed - full force, because the lower level was burned out. The bed mattress was concave and the TV remote was on its last legs. Complimentary coffee consisted of two Nescafe sachets. One of the worst places we've ever stayed at and sets the low bar for everything else that follows.
