Major Innes Motel

A week before my stay here, I sent the property a message telling them I'd be arriving around 2.30am - after their final check in time, which was listed as 9pm. I asked how I would access my room at that time. On the day of my booking I realized I hadn't heard back from the motel regarding the late arrival, so I called the hotel at 6.30pm. No reply, and so I left a message. I also emailed the hotel at this time. I then called 5 or 6 times over the next three hours trying to raise a response. I thought that as I had a confirmed booking, there would be instructions left out for me to access the room when I arrived at the Motel, or someone to let me in. I arrived at around 3am, no key left out, no one answering the phone, no one answering the door bell. I had been driving for nearly 5 hours and my wife and I had to sleep in my car by the side of the road. I've not heard from the Motel management at all. No call, no email, no explanation or apology. I can only assume they just couldn't care less.

Great place packed full of amenities, and the owners were so friendly. Our room (8) had two beds, a large bathroom, and was located close to the shared kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and appliances, with a huge BBQ outside. The grounds were well kept almost like being in a park, chickens and various birds could be heard singing. We had a great sleep and appreciated the all the little details.

Great little reasonably priced motel just a few minutes off the highway. It's an older motel but it had everything I needed for a one night stay. Very clean and a very comfy bed. I even had a rocking chair in my room. The lady was very friendly and helpful, will stay again.

Great place to stay. Very clean and quiet place to stay. Came in from out of town to go the cinema. Lots of great stores and restaurants near the motel. 5,/5 stars!!!! They have a nice pool too. Thank you!!! Kevin and Susan
