Mercure Newcastle Airport

A hotel right next to the Newcastle Airport. A good choice if you have a car and don't want to stay too close to the Newcastle city centre or Port Stephens. Take approximately 15 - 20 mins drive to those areas. Staff are friendly and the rooms are large. Would have been better if there were optional amenities offered in the rooms, like toothbrush and slippers.

Excellent services, very secured and drop off to airport was smooth. Facilities was great and ideal spot if you are planning to travel with family. So close to restaurants and airport.

Great hotel for a stress free trip to the airport. The food options are great an a friendly bar.

As we had an early flight, we thought we would stay close to the airport. We booked before we arrived, but the check-in process was cold & dismissive. I requested a high floor with a view of the airport. We were allocated a room on the roundabout entry to the airport precinct on the 1st floor. We entered the room which had a heavy smell of cigarette smoke from the previous occupiers. The doona on the bed was thin with all the padding pushed down to the feet. The hotel was isolated & there was no ability to shop for some basics, Our experience was less than satisfactory. We requested a shuttle drop-off but were told the shuttle bus outside was not operating.

Everything was perfect. Lovely and quiet and room was spotless.
