Wingate by Wyndham Savannah I-95 North

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the Savanah area as a mid point stop on our trip and that also took pets. The property used to be a Holiday Inn and has been recently renovated. It was clean and up to date. The king bed was extremely comfortable after a long days driving. The staff was friendly and helpful. We often use this route and so will likely be staying here in the future.
Sleep Inn I-95 North Savannah

This site is just off the main freeway but the rooms are quiet, spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast kind of “so-so” but was expected. Added plus, the hotel was just behind a QS fuel station. Will stay here again. Try the Jamaican restaurant about a mile away.

Very good for business trips. The room is clean, the breakfast is great, and above all, there is a space to work, so it is perfect for business trips.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Savannah N - Port Wentworth

This hotel was super quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was a little bit skimpy. We were down 45 minutes before closing time and got the last cinnamon roll and the last two biscuits. No fruit. Staff were friendly and professional.
Hampton Inn Savannah-I-95 North

This was the most expensive ($205/nt) Hampton Inn we stayed at on a 3 week road trip across the country and ranks at the bottom, and I expected the same level of cleanliness and freshness. It was old, sticky, one of the pillows smelled from a previous guest (although more than enough pillows were supplied). The bathroom appeared to have been renovated with new vanity/tub (good job!) ..... but they put the old stainless steel grab-bar back into shower (which I don't mind recycling), but there was a THICK layer of black mold on the base of the grab bar (which you can see clearly if you like to bathe instead of showering), plus a bit of mold in the corner of the tub (mold is a deal breaker for me). The carpet looked dirty, and even my bedroom slippers were stained and stuck with something picked up from the carpet. The cabinet door (on dresser/TV stand) and bathroom door wouldn't close (warped?) probably due to the humidity? We chose to stay outside of Savannah, and thought this would be a good choice. Not so.
