We love this hotel & staff! The manager goes the extra mile to accommodate us every time we stay!

I enjoyed my stay at this very fine hotel. The Marriott brand is my favorite because of the convenience and the amenities. This is a perfect family or couples hotel. My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, and it was an absolutely lovely weekend. With Cedar Point, Put-In-Bay being nearby, and the hotel being right on the water, with the most beautiful sunsets, I enjoyed our one-tank anniversary trip! Upon entering the parking area you were forced to navigate around sporadically positioned small cones used for asphalt sealing, although it was apparent that the sealant was completely dry from being applied days earlier: didn’t appear to be a professional that was contracted or possibly the material was applied by a onsite worker. Upon entering the office it was apparent that ownership and management was of foreign decent, likely from India. We requested a non-smoking room that was not used by travelers with pets. Upon entering our room, it reeked of smoke, there was a cleaning person in the adjoining room, we knocked and asked if there was a room that was free from smoke odor, he told us to wait while he went to the office for alternate arrangements, upon returning with a can of Febreeze he entered a room a few doors down, came back out and asked if would be acceptable, it was so much better so we said it was ok. The key card that the owner/manager provided to him didn’t work, although his master card worked: he again went to the office for reprogramming, second time didn’t work, again back to the office, third time didn’t work, he returned to the office again while we baked in the sun: the fourth time he returned with a computer to reprogram the door lock, after 15 minutes of programming both, key and lock, finally had a functional key, at least we thought so. Several hours later, 11:30ish after returning from dinner/friends, we tried opening the door multiple times, can’t get in, back to the office, the same cleaning person was still on site and assisted with the hassle, he ultimately provided a key card that worked and told us the owner would provide a discount for our troubles…………. That discount was never provided!! The place is old and not much has been done to improve the environment or persons experience also located next to a busy noisy freeway This may be a less expensive option versus other local hotels, however, you get what you pay for, and in this case, it would be advisable to spend a little more for a better experience.
