Convento d'Alter Hotel

Sono tornato in questo hotel dopo dodici anni, il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile, e sono tornato a visitare i punti di interesse all'interno dell'hotel, come la cisterna e il punto panoramico vicino al tetto dell'hotel. Poiché l'hotel era pieno, non ho potuto visitare la chiesa adiacente, ma l'hotel dispone di una guida che vi accompagna ogni giorno. Colazione eccezionale.

Old-fashioned but comfortable and clean hotel. My room had a very beautiful view. The reception staff are very friendly and available to help and/or resolve any questions. Breakfast, nothing extraordinary, but reasonable. Less positive point: Soundproofing of the rooms. There was some noise from one room to another. It also didn't help that around 11pm, several families arrived with small children running through the corridors from room to room and screaming. The adults themselves, with the bedroom doors open, spoke loudly from room to room, mine being in the middle. I had bad luck with neighboring guests. This is not the hotel's fault; It's a lack of adult education.

Too high value for the hotel. We paid €130 for one night, in a hotel that no longer has any trace of 4 stars. It needs urgent renovation and improvement in cleaning. Bathrooms and rooms with few amenities and signs of heavy use. Weak breakfast for the price charged.

It is a very unique hotel, a four-star hotel converted from an old monastery. The room is clean and comfortable. There is a small paddling pool outside the room, which is very suitable for families with children. The scenery around the hotel is excellent and very quiet. Behind the hotel is the original monastery gate that is still well preserved. In the evening or early morning, it is very suitable to stroll through the small streets and alleys. For foreign tourists, it is a good way to experience the traditional customs and customs of Portugal. The Portuguese-style breakfast and dinner are simple but not luxurious, but there is no shortage of coffee and tea. You can add some Portuguese local Bordeaux wine to spend a wonderful night.

Located right in the center of the town, very helpful staff and spacious rooms. Offer of welcome drink was a plus. We heard background noise all night coming from the pool, which didn't allow us to have a peaceful night. The rooms already need to be renovated and the cleaning done. The breakfast was a little poor for a 4 star hotel.

The place is very beautiful and the staff are friendly and very helpful. A little difficult to access for someone lacking mobility but that's the only downside. The young man at reception came to deliver us a tray with some fruit and some biscuits….nice gesture! Superb lunch with a very attentive server.

I had stayed before and came back. It's still excellent in everything or maybe better. Good facilities, food and friendliness. I went back to sleeping in a king's bed and like a king. I loved it. Congratulations on continuing to provide good service. I will come back whenever possible
