I had a pleasant experience at this hotel, despite some possible concerns based on previous reviews. The central location of the hotel, the proximity to various entertainment venues and the beach are positives. The staff was friendly and helpful. The quality of the pillows and towels was better than expected. I enjoyed the advantages of the hotel and accepted the possible disadvantages, such as noise pollution in the area.

Check in was terrible. Slow attendant and a man who claimed to be maintenance, was drunk in the morning and was being inconvenient. Hotel says it has parking, but then the cost is 30 EUROS MORE PER DAY!!!! Absurd. The corners of the room were dirty. The only ok thing is the location. But I prefer to stay in another hotel of the same price, a little further away and more comfortable.

Good hotel on the *****! Convenient to the beach and bars! Good air con and also heating option because I have was freezing after a siesta with air con on! But that’s a good thing. Staff were accommodating polite and even refreshed my room on the second day! Thankyou so much Hotel Avenida Praia for the best weekend xx

The hotel is good, but my room faced the front and the noise from the disco until 6 in the morning is unbearable, you either sleep with earplugs or you go crazy.

Really dirty hotel rooms and the staff at the check in desk are so rude. the beds are tiny and same with the rooms. There are much cheaper options that are much nicer on the portimao *****. The only positive of staying here is that it was 5-10 min walk to the Rolling Loud and Afronation festivals.

Horrible,la habitación llena de hormigas,toda la noche la cama llena de hormigas ,la peor experiencia de mi vida,no pude dormir en toda la noche,nos cambiaron a otra ,no salía agua fría,solo caliente,la nevera con herrumbre,tengo fotos y vídeos de todo,el peor de mi vida y ni una sola disculpa del director del hotel,solo de una chica de resección.

Scam! The first two floors of the hotel should be closed. There is a pub below and a nightclub right in front open every day of the week. Impossible to sleep due to the constant loud noise. Terrible. Air conditioning broke down which made it impossible to sleep due to the heat. We had to go to the car to sleep. Without sound insulation, you could hear music until 5am coming from the bars opposite. Very poor breakfast - just packaged supermarket food. Terrible cleaning. I do not recommend
