AC Hotel Portland Downtown/Waterfront, ME

Great hotel in a great location. Less than a 10 minute walk to the Old Port. Highly recommended.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The young gentleman who was working the valet parking was very welcoming upon our arrival. The room was clean and modern. We walked a short distance to one of the many downtown restaurants for dinner. Would definitely go back!

Wonderful accommodations, great staff and clean rooms. The location is on point best room in the house 652. It overlooks the ocean and the beautiful east Bay.

Sweeney was beyond kind and compassionate. Had a rough night and he was kind to everyone he was around. Also, the hotel was great. It was so clean as well as so many locations near by. Sweeney is a guy everyone wants around and to work at their bar. What a guy!

Having experienced a difficult year with my health, my husband Jerry and decided to take a trip out east. The AC Marriott was to be the last “leg” of our journey. Contacting Sebastian Ascanio to inquire about a wheelchair rental that he could recommend, he put me on a brief hold. Sebastian told me the AC had a wheelbarrow at no charge during my stay. He was so very kind to this 75 year old woman. Upon arriving at the AC we were greeted with a delightful receptionist name Colleen! Never hsve we we been treated to such a FAST or EFFICIENT check in!!! In addition she offered to help us with our bags and walk us to the valet in VERY cold weather. We felt we had just been invited in to a dear friend’s home. The next morning we had an Excellent breakfast. I chose the delicious buffet while Jerry chose to order additional eggs. Wait staff was attentive thoughout. In addition, we met Gabe who ran the AC shuttle! Such a great service eith a guy that went over and above his job, even offering up suggestions for Portland and the surrounding areas! Such a sweetheart! Then we LOVED Corey our Valet and his band of “merry” men!! Always willing to help no matter what these “old” people forgot!! It just doesn’t get any better than the great folks that work at the AC. Having worked in administration , I recognize that thes kind a attitude towards others come from the top picking staff with attitudes that let others see the “family’ that has been created at the AC.
