The hotel is smart, clean and the reception staff were friendly on check in, but it went downhill from then. The biggest issue for me was that the wifi was unusable. It was so weak that even basic emails / texts were impossible. It became apparent that it is a known problem due to the construction of the building. They offered me a 'small room at the back to work in' but as I usually catch up with emails at 5am prior to my meetings, this as not workable - or sufficient. They also discussed moving me to a different room, but they were full on checking day. I didn't see the same supervisor again and no one followed up. My room was only serviced on 1 day out of four nights (the day I specifically asked at the desk) even though i had the 'please service' light on The staff the bar/restaurant were very pleasant and the food was good quality. The coffee on day one was exceptional and I looked forward to day two only to find the original staff member was the only one who really seemed to understand how to use the coffee machine correctly. My day two coffee was so poor that the staff member apologised and didn't charge me and said that she would ask for a session on how to use the espresso machine. Breakfast is limited to a few pastries/ bagels which were not always available at 7am. I was hoping to provide feedback at checkout, but the reception team member didn't even really make eye contact, let alone ask me if I had enjoyed my stay.
