There appeared to be a misunderstanding between the hotel and Trip.com as we booked the stay with breakfast stated as included but the hotel reception said they had not provided breakfast for a long time, since Covid19 started. They needed to sort this between themselves. However, the manager was gracious to refund us the cost of breakfast at a nearby cafe.
The location of the hotel was near to a number of bus stops for different directions.
The view from our room window was very poor, just an internal air well.

Checked in with no issues. Parking gated garage felt safe. Room was clean and contained utensils+plates and cups bed was comfortable. Overall great location of hotel and great hotel.

So convenient- the tram goes from the airport to within 3 blocks and its caddy corner to Powell’s books which is why i come to Portlan. The hotel is serving a simple breakfast again! Thanks for the room upgrade. I have been coming for 20 yrs and will continue.

The room I stayed had a kitchen space and space to practice yoga. After yoga, I prepared a simple breakfast (yoghurt and fruits). I could reheat left over lunch for dinner. The hotel was clean! The location was perfect; the big bookstore (Powell's City of Books), Whole foods market, and shops like Lululemon and Anthropologie are 3-5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. I will definitely stay at Mark Spencer Hotel if I come to Portland, again.

Very nice place. Location was great. Dinning ,Shopping and entertainment within walking distance. Loved that they provided these great comfy and soft robes. Reasonably priced. Helpful and pleasant staff. Very happy staying there. Will stay there again.

My sister, niece, and I stayed for the weekend while visiting Portland. We all had a great time and my sister especially commented on how lovely the MSH is.

Well the staff was amazing. 32$ for parking totally and completely OUTRAGEOUS!! When we got to the room it sounded like someone was knocking on the door every hour. Finally figured it was some machine going on and off. Very very annoying.
The shower head was AWESOME however the drain was broken and wouldn’t stay open and I couldn’t take it out. So while I was taking my shower the bath tub filled up with water. Which at the end I had to go ahead and hold the drain so it could drain. That frustrated me.

Overall very ok. Hotel was clean, and friendly staff. Room was ready early which was convenient.
The bed was more comfortable than many other hotel beds, which was a pleasant surprise. The shower was clean, but the water pressure was the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced anywhere. I understand high efficiency shower heads, but this shower was downright useless. Couldn’t have gotten less wet if I tried.
