Aparthotel Oporto Sol

The apartment was lovely and clean. Perfect location and very comfortable. A friend and I stayed at the guest house for 2 nights and 3 days. On arrival we were given an address that was different to a check in area. The walk was not far, however we were unable to check in as it was after hours for reception. Our driver then called and talked to the reception and managed to help us get a key for the guest room. The next morning we walked over to the reception area to complete our check. The lady at the front desk was not very approachable as we did not feel comfortable asking for information as it seemed like she just wanted to get our check in over and done with. We were told that maps and information about the city was prepared for us however we did not receive them from the front desk and managed to walk around and find our own way with tours and visiting sites. Other than the uncomfortable check in process the stay was very comfortable.

I recently spent four nights at Aparthotel Oporto Sol, and while my stay was overall okay, it came with a few drawbacks. First, the location is a bit outside the main area of Porto, which required some extra effort to get into the heart of the city. While the surroundings were quiet and less crowded, I did find myself relying on public transport or taxis more than I would have liked. One of the main issues was the absence of air conditioning in the bedroom. During my stay, the temperatures were warm, and it made things uncomfortable at night. Opening the windows was not an option due to the presence of mosquitoes outside, which meant I struggled to find a comfortable sleeping temperature. On the positive side, the apartment itself was spacious and generally clean. The amenities were adequate for my needs, and the staff was friendly and helpful, albeit a few blocks over. I appreciated the kitchenette, which allowed me to prepare some of my own meals during my stay. In summary, while my stay at Aparthotel Oporto Sol had its merits, the lack of air conditioning and its location outside the main area impacted my overall experience. If you're sensitive to heat or prefer to be in the city center, you may want to consider other options. Otherwise, it serves as a decent accommodation for those seeking a quieter spot.

Fantastic location! The hotel is right in the city center, making it incredibly easy to explore. We were within walking distance of many major attractions, restaurants, and shops. Perfect for sightseeing and soaking in the local vibe!

The property was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our two day stay in Porto. The location was perfect, could walk everywhere. The checkin was easy and the staff was so friendly and helpful.

Great apartment, third floor with little terrace which was lovely. Comfy bed, clean and free air con. Excellent location, everything was walkable. Would be useful to have the check in details sent in advance by email, the reception in in another building about 5min walk away which isn’t made clear on booking,

Great stay! The apartment is well located and in a safe area of the city. We were able to walk everywhere, or order transportation easily. The only downside was the seagulls (which I recognize can't be controlled necessarily). Seagulls, particularly on this block, were screeching at all hours of the night. We were on the top floor (and might've had a faulty window?), so maybe the noise is better on lower floors...but the birds kept us up every night. Other than that, we had a pleasant experience!
