Great accommodation for going on various hikes. Overall it is very quiet and less busy than at the well-known points...We enjoyed it. The food in the hotel is OK. However, there is a great restaurant near Lavrador.

Awesome little town and best hotel in the area I can find! Very comfortable and helpful staff! Shame I didn’t have time to try their Turkish bath room! Breakfast was a spread! And easily walkable downhill and back up (about 2 miles) to the beach restaurants of São Vicente

Nice hotel with pool, balcony and parking in Sao Vicente. A good base for exploring the northern part of the island. Very good sweet and salty breakfast, fresh fruit and vegetables. Calm and quiet neighborhood.
It's a pity that there is no small fridge in the room.

We stayed there between 09/07 to 09/14, 7 nights, family of 5 with one child. We had booked standard room. The view from the balcony was beautiful. However both rooms had terrible smell coming from the bathrooms- something like sewage. We ask the front desk staff if we could get another different room but instead they placed scented candle in our bathroom as a solution. We also noticed lots of flies inside the coffee machine. In the coffee beans compartment there were flies. Nothing was done about it even though I told front desk staff. It’s definitely not a four star hotel. Everything is very outdated. Restaurant service is very slow. We waited an hour for a meal during dinner time with no one else there and food was awful. The best part of our stay was the pool and the view.

Average services for a ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ star A pleasant location with 50% of the rooms with sea or mountain views and 50% with a short rear view. Average bedding, a (too) small swimming pool and a sauna/hammam/jacuzzi that has been out of order for 1.5 years, scheduled to be put back into service in early 2025...nothing is less certain. An old-fashioned decor and average maintenance... Otherwise the breakfast is very good

Hotel located very close to the center of São Vicente with wonderful and always helpful staff. And with very nice rooms with coffee and tea and AC. A 5-star breakfast with a huge variety and fresh fruit. With free parking space but a small one.

Spent a week here from 28th May and it was excellent, the staff were superb the cleanliness exemplary and the location perfect for a base for that side of the island. Very impressed with the whole experience and will return as soon as another good deal comes along.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. However, due to the limited staff, everything takes a relatively long time. Unfortunately, the rooms are quite old and a little dirty with a penetrating smell. The beds are a disaster with old spring mattresses. In addition, there are two separate beds which have been pushed next to each other and therefore slide apart as soon as you get close to your partner. The food is good.

The hotel is wonderfully located; with a view of the sea. However, it is practically impossible to get there without a (rental) car. Parking is already quite scarce in the off-season. The reception and management are inconspicuous and have little to no interest in the guests. For example, room service leaves used water and toothbrush glasses lying around and does not clean or replace them. The doors are warped and jammed so that they are almost impossible to close without making a noise. Sorry, dear room neighbors, you heard us and we heard you when you came home and thus disturbed our night's sleep. Sao Vicente would be very well located for hikes in the north; but please "avoid" this hotel.
