Staff were friendly enough until we had a problem in the room. Tv not working and the manager asks” are you going to be annoyed if this doesn’t work” not quite what we expected to hear on our first visit ended up having to fix it ourselves

Lovely apartments, which catered very well for a surprise Family gathering, celebrating a 60th Birthday.
Dinner and Breakfast Menus offered good selection at reasonable prices, in addition to catering for gluten free.
Overall, very good value for money; we shall return.

The room was tiny with sloped ceiling above bed. Had to bend our head to get in and out of bed. Bed extremely soft and uncomfortable. Very strange wardrobe! Radiator in bathroom dangerously hot!
Lovely view from window. Staff pleasant.

Nice enough staff but and hotel a bit jaded , unfortunately the cooked breakfast was sent back to the kitchen as it was swimming in cooking oil ,awful overcooked thin bacon very thin ,just a total let down ,I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and this breakfast scored 2/10

Great location for catching the ferry at Cairnryan. We enjoyed the town itself which is very sweet and the hotel is well located. The staff were friendly, room huge and clean and overall it was comfortable. The overall appearance of the hotel was shabby, lifting floors in the bar and what appeared to be paint on carpets. The food was just OK. Gigantic portions. The hotel and bar are Dog friendly which was a bonus. Overall, a very inexpensive stay and at the price you can't complain. I would stay for an overnight but not for longer.

Evening meal at the Harbour House was excellent. Friendly staff, great menu, hard to choose. Often called in for coffee or a beer whilst visiting family nearby but this was the first time for an evening meal and was not disappointed. Highly Recommend.

We stayed at the harbour house on Friday the 15th until Sunday in the lighthouse view apartment. I was a really nice stay and spotlessly clean. Only thing was the living room radiator and bathroom radiator weren't working un reception apologised but could do nothing until Monday. Also the two lamps and shaving mirror weren't working. Minor faults that can be easily replaced. The food was ok and the staff were lovely and friendly. Another bugbear was the price of alcohol. £25 .50 for 2 Tennents and 2 gins. The pub next door was £6 cheaper for the same drinks. Apart from that everything else was OK and we will return.

Really enjoyed stay. Great situation. Friendly staff. Lovely room. Great value for money. Only gripe was that I was unable to get through to staff on the phone easily but I appreciate it was off season and mid week. Would definitely recommend and return with no hesitation.

Had a lovely relaxing 2 night stay. Staff lovely, food nice. Could definitely do with a refurb or at least a good spring clean. Had a great Saturday night, good duo on, had the pub dancing and singing. Portpatrick is a beautiful place with a fantastic coastal walk. The only downside to this little gem of a hotel is the cleanliness isn't up to scratch, would we come again, probably due to the location and friendly staff.
