This place was amazing. Perfectly located close to the shops of Positano and not a far walk to the beach. Be careful in Positano because close to the beach cars are not allowed so you're walking to get to your hotel. Before our visit I planned dinners and excursions with Giancarlo and Giusi. This was the trip of a lifetime for me so I know I was overly needy, they were terrific via email helping me understand what to do and where to go. They booked dinners, car services for us, and even a boat day to tour Capri by ourselves. Naples airport is very slow so don't expect to get your luggage and be out quickly. When we checked in, Giancarlo was there to greet us and he remembered me from ALL of the emails I had sent. What a nice guy and he was so helpful and polite our entire stay. Giusi also remembered me and every time I walked past she always had a hello, good morning, anything you need for us to book today, the staff here was great. Pino the bellman took our luggage to the room and gave us a tour of the hotel, again another excellent staff member. He even found a bed for our dogs that we travelled with. The hotel takes a day or so to figure out how to navigate but you quickly learn where everything is. The rooftop pool has an insane gorgeous view and Il Tridente was supurb. There is a TON of walking in Positano so be ready for it. Cute shoes for the ladies is not a good idea. Functional shoes you can walk in work best. If you go out the hotel to the right and walk about 100 yards there is a set of steps that takes you down to the beach. Its the fastest way to get there but they don't call it the thousand steps for nothing. Another favorite spot of ours was Saraceno d'Oro for amazing pizza about 150 yards up the street from the hotel. We had a junior suite that had a patio with stunning view of the Med, the room was quite large for a Positano hotel. In the evenings you could hear singers in the town square near the beach belting out amazing music that made you feel like you were in the heart of Italy. The hotel did not have a gym which we would have liked but all of the walking burns plenty of calories. The staff here was terrific and really was the best part of the hotel. I can't wait to come back.
