Hotel Pellegrino

We recently stayed at Hotel Pellegrino and it was one of the best experiences that we ever had at a hotel. That’s because even though it’s a hotel it feels like a bed & breakfast. Luigi,Sandra,and their family are the perfect hosts and will go out of their way to accommodate your every need. The hotel is situated between Positano and Amalfi. The bus stop is located right across the street for visits to Amalfi and Sorrento. They have a shuttle to Positano and will pick you up when your day is through. Praiano is a quiet town compared to the crowds of Positano and it’s a pleasure to end the day there. The hotel is beautifully decorated courtesy of their son, Frederico and I believe his sister Daniela had a hand in it too. Daniela is the chef and her food is delicious and inventive. We ate there every night. I also want to mention Gennaro who served our dinner. He was a pleasure also. The breakfasts are outstanding and are served by Luigi and his oldest daughter, Alessia. She always greets you with a warm smile to start your day. Both Alessia and Frederico man the front desk and made us feel welcome immediately upon entering the hotel. My husband and I enjoyed our conversations with them. They even shared photos on the computer of the beginnings of the hotel including their grandfather and young Luigi. If you need a spa and/or fitness center to enjoy your vacation then Hotel Pellegrino is not for you. But if you appreciate beautiful surroundings, great food, and hosts who really care about you, then this hotel is for you.

I just returned from 3 days at Hotel Pellegrino, Positano adjacent. This was the best hotel I have stayed at in years. The hotel operators were amazing. I met the entire family and they were outstanding. The room was spotless and the terrace was worth the extra cost. They took care of everything and I mean everything. The restaurant was unbelievable. We ate every dinner there and it was perfect. The host and chef were one of a kind. We sat and talked, ate, and soaked in the view. Just one point of clarification. This is a 3-star hotel, but that is an Italian standard and assigned by others. This is no 3-star, but a 5+ star. Book it now, you can thank me later. A side note. Go to Positano and fight the crowds or better yet just walk to Praiano and enjoy the town square and the view.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Pellegrino. Apart from the amazing location and stunning rooms - it was all of the little touches we loved. From the fluffy towels and pillows with the ‘HP’ logo, to the stunning hand painted tiles in the bathroom, the incredible shower, the breakfast with handmade jams, omelet’s, crepes, pastries. Federico is brilliant. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Easily the best hotel we have stayed at in Italy.

Our stay at Hotel Pellegrino was perfect. Luigi and his family go out of their way to make your time at the hotel both seamless and enjoyable. Naturally the views of the coastline help but this would be irrelevant if the experience at the hotel did not match your surroundings. I would strongly recommend a stay.
