First the good things about this hotel. Its in a great location withing walking distance of downtown Prescott. It's had an update recently, so even though its an older hotel, its not shabby or run down. I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, and enjoyed the design of the sitting room and separate bedroom. The bathroom was fabulous with a separate tub and one of the largest walk in showers I've ever seen in a hotel room. The gas fireplace was a nice touch considering how cold it was in Prescott while I was there. The breakfast area was warm and inviting. Now for the bad. The lighting in the rooms is horrendous. The hotel staff somehow found the lowest wattage LED bulbs available and put them in every light fixture in the room. After dark, the room was incredibly dark and dingy. I could barely see things. The TV, while an adequate size, was mounted on the wall as high as it could go. I had to look almost straight up at the ceiling to watch TV. There was no need for this as the space below the TV was empty. They could have easily set the TV in the sitting room on a table or stand at eye level. Both these things may sound picky, but they really took away from my experience at the hotel. I hope the management at least reviews the lighting situation in the hotel.
