The staff were sweet. As a young man I cruised timber on GP land, western border of Maine and Quebec, we stayed in old lumber camps and the first one we were driven out by flees! The center didn’t have flees!!! No visitors information, no restaurant info, the drapes were used by a diesel mechanic to clean his hands etc. I’ve had more pleasant stays in canvas military tents.

I booked a room here for my traveling husband as there were no other places available in the area due to an event. I was told there was one room left, with this being my 4th motel called and him needing a bed and a shower, I took it. BIG MISTAKE!! The air conditioner did not work and the window would not open, but the worse part is, he did not sleep a wink because he could not lock his door. From the looks of the photos he sent me, which are attached, it looks like the door had been kicked in at some point and never fixed. I don't believe it was even legal for this room to be rented out. He did say the staff was nice. Their website says they are, "Northern Maines premier destination for lodging and hospitality" & they "offer 110 newly appointed, comfortable guest rooms". He travels quite often, almost weekly from Maine to Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, even Michigan and this is, by far,, the WORST place he's stayed....I wonder if it would be too much to ask for a refund?!

This hotel has the lowest price in town but is a real mixed bag. Physically the property is in terrible shape and requires a lot of maintenance. The main restaurant is closed but the bar is open. However, the front desk staff were very friendly. Our room had a kitchenette with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher(!) but absolutely no plates, glasses, flatware, cooking pots - the cupboards were empty. There were plumbing problems as well. But - the beds were extremely comfortable. Would we stay here again? Probably not.

Extremely dirty and run down. Sign says checkout new restaurant but it is closed. Pool is closed, ice machine was out of order, very sketchy guests. People smoking pot outside the door. We will never be back

Hotel is currently an overflow for the Homeless Shelter. This began in 2020 for the health and safety of folks lacking housing. As of August 2022, there seem to be housing insecure folks heading to the area BECAUSE of this option. Unfortunately, this has attracted a rough crowd to our town AND this HOTEL is also renting rooms as vacation designations for families… The rooms are dirty, unclean, unkept. There is no security. It is scary to be in the parking lot at night. And sadly - tourists coming to the PI area have NO IDEA and think they are booking a hotel room in a (formally) decent, long-standing lodging establishment.

This is the single most dilapidated, disgusting motel I've ever stayed in. I could not walk in bare feet on the carpet. Mold in the bathroom. No screens in the windows, and employees smoking outside of my window. No fresh air possible, which was desperately needed to air out my room. The air coming out of the air conditioner smelled like urine. The "breakfast" offered should not be labeled as such. It's just yogurt in the fridge, bad coffee, and a bowl of hard oranges and mealy apples. The parking lot is a hazard- it's hard to even tell if it's been paved. The pot holes and loose asphalt are dangerous. There appears to be homeless people, or people living in their car, in the parking lot. Plus side: the front desk and bar staff were super friendly. The bed was comfy.

Stayed 2 nights in June. Dogs around woke us up 4 am with dog fight. Lab faucet did not function properly. Took two hands to pull it on to splatter all over. The parking lot outside was always filled with people near their vehicles —4 wheelers. People acted very strangely when you would meet them in the hallway. Breakfast- coffee cups had no covers to fit on the. No stirrers or spoons available even to eat yogurt. No wi-fi service the entire weekend. People working at desk were pleasant, but did not know much about the facility nor wanted to answer many questions. It did have new carpeting since my previous, but place needs to have interior fleshing up. It is not as good as previous stays. It just did not have a very good a**osphere. We would not book there again.

I too made a big mistake when I drove in the parking lot. The hotel is old, outdated and not particularly clean . I was "upgraded to a double king size room" due to a maintenance issue. I was asked not to use the jacuzzi. I wouldn't have anyway after seeing the room. The room had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke, although I had to sign I would not smoke. I don't smoke anyway. I worried the about potentially bringing home bugs from my two night stay at this place. Do not stay at this place, if you are single, a family, a couple, spend the extra money to stay in a better hotel. I believe but not verified this hotel is transitional homeless hotel for individuals and quickie long haul truckers. The place is noisy, the switch plates have not been cleaned since the early nineties. The sofa are older than the 70s and are dirty. Don't sit on them or put anything on them. I took long hot showers after sleeping in the bed. Cleaning only exist in what can be seen, there was dust, crumbs, papers, unmentionables just under the dust ruffles. Two days back and fortunately no ill affects from the stay. Except PTSD. Avoid this place. Doesn't even deserve a one.

Wow…where do I begin? I was here for work and stayed one night. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, I knew I’d made a mistake. It was an incredibly pot hole filled lot with a great deal of very uncouth individuals. As soon as I parked, a woman came screaming out of the hotel, swearing up and down about something and aggressively left the parking lot in her car. On the building walls in front of where I parked, was a charming sign that said something to the tune of, “Park at your own risk”. Immediately, I was regretful of my decision to stay here, but everywhere else was booked or over $200. As soon as I left my car, I had creepy stares from creepy men. As a smaller woman traveling alone for work, that is not ideal and made me feel very unsafe. I entered the hotel after eventually finding the entrance, and needed to ring a bell to get the receptionists attention. She came out after quite some time and was not very pleasant. She didn’t smile once and acted like I was bothering her by being there. Totally understand that it might be a crappy job, but oof. I’ve had to work as a receptionist before and smiling is the least you can do. She gave me my key card and vaguely instructed me as to where my room was. I then walked down the labyrinthine hallways that smelled of cigarette smoke and general unpleasantness. There were some sketchy people wandering the hallways that made it seem like staring was normal. Cool. I then make it to my room and open the door to somehow an even more unpleasant smell than the hallways. Imagine cigarette smoke overlaid with an overly floral, cheap smelling deodorizer. Quite nauseating. I turn on the light near the door and expected a typical white light to turn on. You thought so too? Nope! A bright purple, neon like light awaits you near the front of the room. The room was outdated and lacked any sort of informative pamphlet regarding hotel info, hardly had any outlets and just felt unclean. I open the bathroom and see that the toilet has been used and not cleaned and unfortunately, it contained solid waste. There was also an insect crawling on one of the walls in the room. All throughout the night, there was chatter in the hallways - the walls and door were very thin. One of the locks looked like someone had aggressively swung open the door trying to break in. I decided to bring in a blanket from my car and sleep with that, on top of the sheets, with the top blankets pushed back to avoid any uncleanliness. I left as soon as possible the next morning (6 am) and will never be back. I recommend, as in STRONGLY recommend, that you never come here. The prices are not worth it. I wish I had just slept in my car in a campground or spent the night in a tent. Would’ve been more comfortable and a far more enjoyable experience.
