Hotel Alessandro Della Spina

This is a lovely hotel.Friendly staff . Close to the railway station and the town centre.Large clean room with wonderful high ceiling and an extremely comfortable bed . Bathroom large and clean with a fairly powerful. We have room only so unfortunately I am unable to comment on the breakfast. I am happy to recommend this hotel.

Staff were fabulous very friendly and helpful,very clean and nice garden to have a drink,quite central good location,fifteen minutes to the tower Only issue no tea coffee facilities in room if you’re an early riser would make it five stars

Unfortunately, my stay at Hotel Alessandro Della Spina fell short of expectations. While the location and exterior of the hotel seemed promising, the reality inside was quite different. Upon entering the room, I was immediately struck by the overwhelming presence of black mold. Dark patches covered the walls and ceilings in both the bedroom and bathroom, making it challenging to relax and enjoy my stay. In addition to the black mold issue, cleanliness was a concern. Dust and grime were visible throughout the space, indicating a lack of thorough housekeeping. This, combined with the mold problem, created an unpleasant and unsanitary environment. Furthermore, the hotel's amenities did not meet expectations. The wifi was unreliable, frequently dropping out, and the air conditioning was ineffective, leaving the room uncomfortably hot. Opening the window for relief only led to increased noise from the hotel's car park. Overall, my experience at Hotel Alessandro Della Spina was deeply disappointing. Despite its attractive exterior and convenient location, the presence of black mold and subpar cleanliness standards overshadowed any potential positives. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel until these issues are properly addressed.

Overall room was was in bad shape. The shower was tooo small like 2x2 ft. I will not recommend this hotel unless you are not finding any other

We stayed on room only basis. This is a basic no thrills hotel but its clean and well kept. Front of house staff pleasant and very helpful. The realstrength of this place lies in its location. We walked it from the airport- so don’t bother with taxis- walkable in ten minutes. Its also ten mins from the centre of town and the railway station. Perfect if you are back and forth to Florence as we were. Very good value for money and thoroughly recommend.

The street looks a little scary when arriving at night but is probably safe due to enough people being out and about. The noise was somewhat abated by the shutters. Most of the staff was friendly and very helpful. The overnight desk clerk was not so nice. We had a half bottle of wine left from our dinner down the street and he would not even let us use wine glasses.
