Il Castagneto Hotel

We stayed in this hotel for New Year's Eve, the hotel is modern, surrounded by greenery and chestnut groves, friendly and helpful staff, we opted for two nights including New Year's Eve dinner, the rooms are large and some even have small terraces , the owner was very helpful to our request, as we have a dog and they gave us the room with the terrace, the breakfast is good and has a wide range of products, the New Year's Eve dinner was good, accompanied with excellent music, very friendly and kind staff and waiters, for those who love relaxation and decide to abandon the chaos of the city for a few days, this is an excellent destination

We spent 2 nights at Christmas with my whole family group. We had a great time. The professional and always kind staff in all departments, the cuisine is excellent and the rooms and environments are comfortable... I recommend it to everyone, even in summer thanks to the swimming pool it will certainly be an oasis of peace.

We were guests of the hotel restaurant Il Castagneto in Melfi for this Sunday and we cannot express ourselves except with multiple praises. From the full availability received to organize the lunch, to the wonderful welcome, to the attention in the service by all the dining room staff, to finish with an excellent performance by the chef who made us eat 10 and praise. Finally, a splendid walk in their chestnut grove to collect the famous Melfi chestnut, guaranteed fun for the little ones and why not for the adults too! It's the fourth time we've returned to this place and I must admit that it has never disappointed us.

My parents chose this location to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. It was a perfect party: clean, spacious and elegant rooms, attentive and courteous service, delicious lunch from first to last course, refined settings, all in line with the requests made by my parents. If you are looking for peace surrounded by greenery with a swimming pool, a spacious breakfast, this is the right place. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and tidy environments. Very nice rooms with terrace.. even for dogs!!! Free dedicated parking. Fair prices

Mid-August lunch spent with a group of friends, I'll start by saying that I travel around a lot for work but the cuisine is truly disappointing, many of the self-service restaurants are of better quality, the service of some not very diligent waiters has made the situation worse, the preparation of the dishes is of poor quality. The drinks included in the price Good. Poor value for money. To forget at least for the lunch in question.

We were on holiday with my family for two weeks for a pleasant and excellent period in all respects: availability for logistics, cooking, cleanliness of the room and the structure. The staff is always available and professional. The hotel is recommended for families with children, young couples and people of a certain age as well as those with disabilities. Ottima esperienza sia per il soggiorno che per la ristorazione . L'albergo è situato in una zona magnifica ,immersa nella natura.Il ristorante ha uno Chef eccellente.Il personale è professionale e molto cortese.Tutto è molto curato .

Vi racconto della nostra esperienza di famiglia per il pranzo di Capodanno presso il ristorante Trame a Melfi (si, la mia prima recensione per il 2026!) Incastonato all'interno dell’Hotel Il Castagneto, a sua volta immerso nel verde lussureggiante del Monte Vulture, il ristorante Trame, dopo un bell'ingresso, si apre in una sala raccolta, elegante ma non formale, un'atmosfera soft, ideale per una ricorrenza speciale ma anche per una esperienza gastronomica diversa dal solito, pensata e curata nei minimi dettagli. La cucina, egregiamente mandata avanti dalla Brigata dello Chef Carmine Bacino, racconta di cibi lucani ma con innovazione e sperimentazione, piatti della tradizione ma dotati di intuizioni moderne e contemporanee. Una cucina, insomma, che sa farsi ricordare ponendo l'accento sulle materie prime della tradizione e sulle moderni tecniche di preparazione. Ottima e ben fornita anche la carta dei vini, con le eccellenze lucane e non solo. Il servizio, gestito dallo staff del Direttore di Sala Saverio Valvano, accompagna il tutto con attenzione e discrezione, senza mai essere invadente e consentendo alla clientela di godersi il momento. Non è la prima volta che visitiamo questo ristorante, e ci siamo sempre trovati bene. Per cui, direi che Trame è sinonimo di bontà e garanzia per chi vuole conoscere la Basilicata culinaria moderna.
