Pre-note: my reviews are always based on value for money. A 5 star hotel may have more facilities but may rate lower in my mind than a for eg 2 star friendly, more basic but clean accommodation. ....and that's where we start here. For the price tag, the hotel is clean, friendly, beds are comfortable, shower good pressure and as warm as you want it. In room ac and mini bar fridge. Brekki perfectly good (for italian hotel breakfast fare). Orange juice good quality and fresh (always a winner!) When faced with working later than planned on a so called day off..I found myself hungry and tired. The hotel restaurant saved my evening . Friendly staff. Good , hearty and tasty food, and totally not bothered at customers walking in at 21.30 to place an order. As hotels go this is a good find. Maybe not the best location if you want to be centrly based, but what you spend in a taxi fare you will definitely save in the room rates. It's also close to the Stadio Vanni Sanna..so should there be a concert there...its just a 5mins walk ... Good value accommodation .

We booked a package holiday from the UK with TUI to stay at this hotel from 8-15 June 2024. The hotel is in a beautiful location, from our room which was above Reception we had a stunning panoramic coastal view. However, to fully appreciate the area you really do need to hire a car. There literally was nothing within an easy walking distance and although we had planned to use the local buses, these didn’t operate on this part of the island until 15th June. Our room was very pleasant. We had a large double balcony, it was a shame there was only a pew style wooden bench as this would have been a great place to lounge. The beds were ok, the shower great, it was clean, the cleaners visited regularly and the aircon was effective. We knew that tea/coffee making facilities were not provided so we took our own kettle, mugs, tea/coffee/sugar. We used an empty water bottle on our first day to fill with milk from the restaurant and kept this in the fridge (no shop to buy milk). From the TUI information provided we were told that a mini-bar was included as part of the room package, however this wasn’t the case. It’s actually an error in the details TUI provided, there are others. At the time of our booking Jet2 and EasyJet offered packages to this hotel so it might be worth cross checking the information. The hotel complex is quite vast, they call it a village. It is on a steep slope and it’s difficult to appreciate this from the photos. It was a long climb from sea level up to our room by Reception. There is a golf buggy that whizzes around the resort to transport the guests and you can hail it at any point. We stayed on an AI package in a promo room. This meant that we used the same restaurant 3 times a day which did become a bit monotonous, we were led to believe when booking there was a choice of 3. The food could be hit & miss, if you tried to eat later to avoid the mad opening rush often the platters would be empty and replenishment was slow if at all. A couple of occasions we found the meat raw (pork & chicken) so be mindful. The self-service main restaurant was chaotic. The tables are not neatly lined so there are no clear pathways. It really was an obstacle course trying to reach the food counters. For these reasons I’d say that this hotel is not suitable for those with limited mobility. What was good is that you are allocated a table and that is your table for the duration of your stay, so no walking around aimlessly looking for a place to sit. The pool bar was closed from 12.30 to 4pm every day which seemed crazy. There was the main bar you could visit, but as this was further up the hill it was another load of steps to climb. There is no snack bar/counter as such. Crisps/Tortillas are served at 5pm at the bar with your drink. I think that our issue with this hotel was that the booking information was inaccurate to what the hotel provided, so our expectation were not

My husband & I spent 2 weeks at this hotel on bed & breakfast basis. Here is what we think. Hope you find it useful PROS - 2 lovely pools plenty of beds Nice beach, again, plenty of beds/brollies. We preferred to use the grassy area behind the beach which also has plenty of beds etc. Shallow water at beach - so good for kids Gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Location is nice ( see cons re flight path! ) and the views on a sunny day are gorgeous. Our room was adequate and serviced well. Lots of storage space. Although the website says they don't turn on Aircon until end June, they do turn it on if asked. They also provided us with a kettle in our room when asked, though tea/coffee/milk had to be bought at the local shop. Best WiFi we have ever experienced in a hotel anywhere. Strong in the garden/pool area too. Pool/beach staff attentive. All bar staff were good. A special mention for the only member of the restaurant staff who made a positive difference to our breakfast experience - Rafaella, thankyou. You are a star. Breakfast was ok on the whole but would benefit from an omelette station in order to have something hot to eat ( their 'hot' selection is lukewarm at best and by the time you get it to your table, it's cold. CONS - The sunbeds are very hard and have the choice of just one angle .. or flat.! We know these beds can come with a cushion as they are the same as the ones at Bombarde beach and they had cushions! I used my flight neck pillow a lot You are on the direct flight path for Alghero airport and the local military training airport which are less than 4 miles away so that should tell you how low they come over the hotel. Our bed in our room was so hard ( I appreciate that this may be a pro for some ) We asked for mattress toppers and these were provided which helped a little. The shower cubicle was very small and the water pressure is dismal. The drain in there was covered by a loose tile, and trying to shower whilst avoiding this obstacle required some skill. When it rained the roof above our room was extremely noisy. All in all I think we paid a lot of money for what we got. 4 star in Italy may be different to elsewhere maybe?

The hotel is located a few minutes by car from the centre and the beach. View of the spectacular sea that gives beautiful sunshine! Breakfast varies and for the last day they have prepared the extravagant as we were going early in the morning! The hotel is fullly reflecting the Sardian style, there are many lounges to use for relaxation; the evening is the musical accompanying! The only negative point is the pool sleeps a little too used, perhaps they should be replaced! A little “disconfortable” that to get to some rooms you need to take two different lifts and get a step in the middle...

Firstly check in was quick and smooth where our bags were taken to our room for us. Danbar was very helpful and friendly. Andrea, one the bar staff went above and beyond to make conversation and suggest good places to see whilst in the area. We did find that our room was always nicely presented once housekeeping had been. Changing the towels and presenting the bed nicely. Otherwise the resort is clean and tidy, the bar staff are all friendly and helpful. Avoid the majority of the reception staff if you can. Do note that this hotel is expensive but provides very little. You cannot use tap water in this area but you are not provided with any water apart from two tiny bottles upon arrival. They charge €5 for one bottle of water at the bar. (Get the bus into town and walk to the despar or eurospin, you can buy 6 bottles for under €2 euros) a small beer is €7… don’t waste your money. The ‘private’ beach that is advertised is actually half a mile uphill from the resort. It’s not private the way you would think, it’s a public beach with sun loungers cornered off for mangias customers. Nobody checking this either so anyone can really use them. The signs ‘water sports’ in the resort just end up taking you to a horrible bit of water where there is a ton of plastic and not a very pretty part of such a beautiful place. We found that a small minority of the reception staff were actually welcoming and helpful where a large portion of them were rude and dismissive. Our shower had broken 5 days into our trip so we reported this straight away where we were told it would be fixed the next morning. It wasn’t. We then reported it the next day as still being broken, we had to speak to reception twice in the space of an hour because nothing had been done. A man then came into our room to see the shower and said he couldn’t fix it and would be back with some more information on what to do. He never returned and nothing was ever done so when checking out we said it was still broken and nothing was done and the lady at reception said there was nobody to fix it. Surely they would then be unable to check someone into this room due to the broken shower but refused to extend our checkout time past 11 o clock because they were so ‘busy’ We also spoke to the same two ladies at reception on our last day to ask if they had any information about our transfer. They did not ask our names or what room we were, simply just said “no” On the same visit we asked if we were able to extend our checkout because with the usual checkout being 10am we weren’t due to leave the hotel until 5pm as we had a later flight. They said no to extending it past 11am so we agreed on that. Our last morning we went for breakfast and retuned to our room at 10:05 where we were then locked out. Going back to reception where the same two ladies were working we said we were locked out “checkouts at 10” they said and we tried to say that we had agreed on 11 where she bluntly said “we’ll change y

My Wife and I stayed here for 9 nights from 8th July 2023. Having booked the whole trip Including transfers on EasyJet holidays we were whisked by private minivan from Olivia airport in a title over 90 minutes. We were greeted on arrival by a gentlemen who many others call out upon staying here - Ben who throughout our holiday was a credit to the hotel and so friendly efficient and welcoming as indeed were so many other of his colleagues. We were shown to the small Terrace overlooking the pool and gardens and welcomed with an upgraded room and two chilled flutes of. Prosecco. We stayed in the beautiful Superior Junior Suite - room 23, which is part of a block of three rooms down a steep slope from the Reception level. Our room, which housekeeping kept clean every day was large and fry almost like a “boathouse” in style with a wooden slopes ceiling, large double bed and walk in shower with Rainfall head. Our outdoor balcony have us a beautiful view down over fields and deep valleys to pretty Castelsardo village about 1.5kms away by road. If you decide against hiring a car, as we did, the hotel provides a free shuttle from 10 am to a local beach in a Bagnu. We paid the €10 per trip to into the town to meet a couple we know who were staying. Upon a quick phone call the hotel sent a car or mini van to take us home allowing us to visit so many other things including the Town beach in Castelsardo as well as a great snorkelling trip at The Se Project from the local port area. Both are worth checking out. We dined in the hotel on our first and last nights and ate beautiful fish dishes which the hotel specialises in. The in house Sommeliers are knowledgeable and will help you select from their varied wine cellars. Local Beers by the bottle are also available and can be served around the pool. Thank you to Tony who served us with a smile throughout our holiday. Saturday and Fridays are often busy in the restaurant with local couples and small groups coming for Dinner so worth reserving a table at Reception. Sunset was about 9 pm whilst we were there. Breakfast was a decent selection including fresh melon pineapple and other fruits, cereal, yoghurts as well as hot and sweet selections. Hot drinks and eggs (scrambled or boiled) or omelettes to order were always served with a smile by the ladies. As I said in the title this is a resort to kick back enjoy the views and relax in well appointed rooms and enjoy the food. Many other guests seemed to use the hotel as a base to explore the area. We also wen with our friends to a wine tasting at one of the many local wineries. The hotel even has its own Vines! The hotel is up a very steep slope and with no walkable path into town you should either budget for car hire or the hotel shuttle. The pool area is clean with a small Pool with integrated jacuzzi with two standalone whirlpools in the hotel grounds. Highly recommended Thank you to the whole team for a lovely holiday in the heatwav
