This was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. Double charging, no continental breakfast with the expense of the room, so many issues with staying there as part of the conference and you were unable to work with businesses and agencies that were paying the expenses of employees to attend. Not using the card that was used to make the reservation and then asking for extra paperwork at check-in, which for me was not during business hours. If the paperwork was needed, which was redundant and needless to the reservation, it should have been sent at the time the reservation was made to avoid the mess that ensued. To have employees sent by an agency provide a card that was then charged while charging the business card is so unethical and unprofessional. I will avoid ever staying at a Marriott again, even if it is connected and discounted for a conference because of the inability to accommodate business and their employees. The only positive were the front desk employees who had no control over the situation/corporation's disastrous mess up, they were kind, professional, empathetic, and tried to provide the best customer service even in the face of such a mismanaged and faulty system of the Marriott.
