Villa Escalesia Galápagos Waterfront Hotel

My wife and I spent the first five nights of our honeymoon at Villa Escalesia and WOW they exceeded all of our expectations. While the room was stunning, spacious, and comfortable what blew us away was the service of the staff. Everyone we worked with was so accommodating and helpful and made our stay so special. The common areas were beautiful and delightful, we sat right on the edge of the ocean and enjoyed the natural beauty of Santa Cruz. Would 11/10 recommend

Villa Escalesia was a fantastic stay. The pool is absolutely amazing and the rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well cared for. The staff truly made the experience special—Maria and Camila were incredibly kind and helpful, and Juan Pablo went above and beyond. He genuinely secured our decision to stay and made us feel completely welcome. Highly recommend this hotel for both comfort and exceptional service.

Lovely boutique hotel with excellent staff, terrific multi-course breakfast, pool, comfortable inside and outside seating areas and outdoor bar (and as an added plus, you can watch the marine iguanas hanging out in the trees). Rooms was fairly large and nicely laid out, including sofa, luggage/closet area, and large bathroom with generously sized slate shower. Interesting and unique art work in room. Only issue is be sure to use mosquito repellant if you want to sit outside at night.

We have travel to Santa Cruz, Galapagos for our dear friend's wedding. We stay at the boutique hotel Villa Escalesia. It was amazing place, very exclusive, only 6 rooms. Beautifully decorated, stunning water view. Our room was very specious, very comfortable king bed , large shower , seating area , and had a big wrapped around balcony with private jet tub and hammock. every morning we were served fresh , delicious breakfast. All Villa's staff were very friendly, and accommodating, especially Juan Pablo ! He made our stay more enjoyable and vent beyond his duties to accommodate breakfast for our friends during our visit. If we ever back to Galapagos , I will only stay at the Villa Escalesia !

What a wonderful surprise this hotel turned out to be. Travelled with my adult daughter and we both loved everything about our stay. The staff are friendly, kind and helpful. The pool, hot tub and bar area is lovely with a beautiful view. You feel like you are so far away from things but are actually right in the center of town. Breakfast was delicious and the one morning we were leaving really early they gave us a box lunch. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend.

Had a phenomenal stay at this stunning oceanfront boutique hotel in the heart of the Galapagos. Juan Pablo runs a tight ship, always going above and beyond, even running us umbrellas to a restaurant several blocks away during a torrential rain storm. The property is gorgeous, peaceful, and in the center of town close to excursions, shops, restaurants, and activities. The rooms are super comfortable and includes daily turndown service and wonderful breakfast. A real gem of the enchanted islands.

Stayed in the "Honeymoon Suite" direct ocean view, balcony and private spa. Kids stayed in triple room- its across the courtyard, no direct ocean view, but very spacious. Our room was up two flights of stairs, so if it matters to you, check to see which floor the room is on before you book. In short, Villa Escalesia would be my first stop again- no hesitation. Location is fantastic, right in town, right on water, pool and hot tub overlooking lava heron munching on sally-light foot crabs. Short walk to Darwin center, loads of restaurants right out the door. It doesn't have a lot of rooms, but the inside feels spacious and the lobby, pool, bar area is open--so it doesn't feel cramped. Staff was outstanding. We had the luck of being there during a tsunami warning and Juan Pablo and his staff were proactive, and handled it all very well (it all ended up being a big nothing, but I appreciated the better safe than sorry approach the staff took). Delicious breakfast and overall outstanding experience. We booked directly with the hotel, and they also arranged for someone to meet us at the Baltra airport and assist with transportation into town. Rooms were ready even though we arrived before check-in.When we left behind a valuable personal item, Juan Pablo arranged for someone to bring it to us at the airport--it made it before we had to board.
