This all-inclusive was incredible. We were welcomed with the most delicious drinks I’ve had in Cuba, and the buffet was the same. I’ve had a lot of fresh fruit in Cuba - papaya, paw paw, mango, apple, and bananas mostly - but this was the freshest I’d had yet. The buffet was fantastic at every meal, and even given the lack of fuel and food being imported into the country, I was ALWAYS eating good, even if the country doesn’t get wheat/flour etc - the buffet still had French toast with all the fixings! Our room had a beautiful, roomy balcony overlooking the ocean and the beach. I LOVE that we had a bidet. We went to the beach every single day, and it was easily the most magnificent ocean beach I’ve swam in. They had lots of programming, the bingo was shockingly my fave - I won a bottle of rum easily (a few times!), and the foam party on our last day was a nice touch. The local performers and nightclub hosts were a viiiiibe, we were ALWAYS dancing if we went by the club - it was never awkward or boring. I dream of coming back here. Cuba has my heart 💕

This place was a dump. The beds and pillows were hard as rocks, the room was dusty with a blinking lightbulb that needed to be changed, no outlets to recharge anything. Drinks with no alcohol and and rowdy screaming friends of the management by the pool. It was sold to me by KV Travel in Manta as a very nice 3 star hotel. It was barely a step up from a hostel and there are probably better hostels for a lot less than what they charged. The furniture was falling apart and the pool and hot tub water was literally MURKY and dirty. In a word, GROSS. I refused to stay more than one night. I told our travel agent and asked for a partial refund since we were cancelling 3 days ahead of time. Of course they refused to give anything back since now in reading the reviews I see they are not honorable in their dealings. The central location is probably the only thing they have going for them but truly, stay away. We booked the Angermeyer for the last two nights on Santa Cruz which was 1000 times better than this hole.

Our room was not ready at 6pm which the check in should be at 3pm, they rushed to clean a room and didn't do it well after almost an hour of waiting at the lobby. Very rude staff.

As others have said, this place is centrally located with a wonderful staff. The view is to die for and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The restaurant is quite good as well. The included breakfast buffet is a nice extra. Don't forget to say hi to Holly the seal who swims in the pool everyday and then relaxes on the bench by the pool. We were even able to get some laundry done for $3 a pound. This was so helpful since we had packed so light for this trip.

I travel a lot for work and pleasure so to say this is the best hotel ever is saying a lot. The pictures on their website are exactly how everything looked. No photo shop going on. The hotel is on the water and right in the middle of town. Close to everything! We just arrived home from the Galapagos Islands. Our trip included being evacuated for the Tsunami and the clean up afterwards. We were not treated as guests that had to be evacuated but as family who needed to be taking care of because we were important. The morning after with no water or electricity, they still some how pulled off an amazing breakfast. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food was amazing, the wildlife just at the hotel was breath taking but the best part of this hotel is the staff and owners. Anything we needed or wanted was taking care of with a smile and immediately. We honestly felt like family (those you want to spend time with and visit often LOL). This hotel had everything you could ask for and more.

The hotel, the room, the restaurant, the location all perfect. I enjoyed three meals in the restaurant and each was delicious. Every employee was warm and welcoming but the girl at the front desk went above and beyond for me as I almost went to the wrong dock to find my cruise. I cannot thank her enough. I would definitly stay here again. The bed was comfy, the view of the harbor from my room was absolutely divine. Any questions I would be more than happy to try to answer them

We stayed 4 nights. We had a view of the Marina. On our first day while we were waiting for our room to be ready, we were entertained by diving blue footed Boobies and Pelicans.we were also greeted by iguanas passing by. The manager and his team were very informative. He made sure they had gluten-free options for the GF members of our group. The rooms were clean and comfortable. THE sealion shenanigans was fun to watch I would highly recommend Solymar for your next trip to Santa Cruz Galapagos

Apart from the nice bar area this hotel has nothing going for it whatsoever. Rooms very outdated. Shower is a trickle, bathroom fittings covered in limescale. No hairdryer in one of the rooms we had. After fighting to open the patio doors we were unable to close them again and had to get maintenance in. No decent view from the floor we were on. The second room we had was on the opposite side of the street and had no external view but overlooked the staircase which meant it was really noisy when people entered or left the building. Again very outdated but at least the shower was slightly more powerful and there was a hairdryer. Would I return- NO
