We went in May for our sunny break. 4 star hotel not worth it at all. Family holidays we had a breakfast and dinner. Food was okay only- small enough and not always fresh. The biggest issue was a not friendly and no communications staff members from all depar**ents. Accommodation ladies-very hard workers. Clean rooms. But location is fantastic just a minute from the beach and 10 minutes walk from the old town.

If on a budget the hotel is great. Not the newest or the best, but overall clean, comfortable and located near the beach and in the quieter side of the town. The breakfast is very varied and it is clear that staff is trying to bring something special around the holidays, but the quality is pretty low, so a suggestion would be to lower the variety, while focusing on quality and taste for smaller choice. Overall, pretty happy woith the stay.

The view of the sea. Las vistas del mar, y las olas sonando toda la noche, es algo inolvidable. Gracias por todo.

Weather was cold while we were there so would have used the indoors areas, if we could but there was just no comfortable place to sit. There was a huge lounge area, with three sets of doors wide open at all times and a gale blowing through, we actually thought they had air-con set too cold but there wasn't any. Bedrooms had shabby wicker chairs, too uncomfortable to sit on, balcony had ok chairs but it overlooked a very noisy construction site, so no joy there either. Dining: We had paid in advance for breakfast and dinner. Big mistake. We were fed in what could have been a prison canteen for all the attention paid to guest comfort. Buffet food was good enough if only we could eat in peace at the white plastic tables and chairs. However there was constant noise, banging and clattering of ware by the staff. It appeared that the objective was to have the place set up for dinner before end of breakfast. At dinner, water was only available (to us) in small bottles at €3, we did see large bottles but were told these were only supplied to large groups! Drink in the bar was pricey (about double what it cost in pubs) but it was irrelevant as the lounge was not conducive to relaxing anyway. The bedrooms: clean linen and good cleaning service. However, there was no kettle, no fridge and no working safe. This latter was a bit alarming as the balcony was easily accessible from either side and the windows could not be fully closed. Four stars? No way! More like 2*

Very Disappointed! Spent a week at this hotel - a slick operation with no interest in guest experience. Hotel run like a military campaign but no one asked how we were! As it happened it was a cold week and the front door, was wide open all week with a cold breeze blowing through the reception and bar area, which was sparce and uncomfortable. This hotel did not have a restaurant, it had a very NOISY canteen, with staff working like they were on an assembly line, grabbing, dropping, banging, cleaning delf and cutlery in the canteen before they took it to the kitchen. Tables and chairs chipped and the worst for wear. It was a throw back to the seventies! We had 7 days and nights of this. The whole hotel needs a revamp including the beds and chairs in bedrooms, is more a two star, but definitely not 4. Overpriced, would not go back .

After reading all the reviews, positive and negative, I booked a week’s holiday at this hotel. The positive: great location, just 10 minutes gentle stroll from the relaxed centre of the town, 5 minutes from a lovely beach and 5 minutes from the bus station. Hotel is clean, rooms sizeable, beds comfy, shower powerful with plenty of hot water. Pool area is a pleasant sun trap until late afternoon with lots of sun loungers. Breakfast was plentiful, with a good range of choice. The ‘English’ breakfast looked a bit tired, but the continental selection was tasty, with a wide selection of breads, pastries, cold meats, cheese and fruit. A omelette station has a chef who will cook you a fresh omelette. The machine coffee is a bit on the rough side, and the dining room is a bit canteen-like. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel. Staff all helpful and friendly. The not-so-positive: We were warned about construction work on the sea side of the hotel. We barely noticed any noise over the constant crashing of the waves against the sea wall! I loved this, but my partner found it a bit oppressive. The street cleaners outside at 7am were also noisier than the construction. There is a small football stadium outside, with floodlights on until 10pm. Again, not much of an issue, unless you’re trying to get little ones to sleep early. No blackout curtains at the windows. There are two small lifts, but only one was working, while the other was being worked on nearly every day. This caused some frustration, especially at breakfast time. Most people were seeing the funny side, but it was a bit annoying. The brochure said there were table tennis and pool tables, but the staff told us this was not currently the case. My main problem was the lack of a fridge in the room. I did know about this in advance, and experience has now taught me that this is a deal breaker for me. The hotel’s website bills it as 4*, while our tour operator billed it as 3*, which is much more accurate in my view. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay, and felt we got good value for money.
