Just had a superb ten day holiday at the Best Semiramis in Tenerife. So many things to love about this hotel and most of the staff looking after you while you are there. A massive thank you to the relentlessly hard working, professional and always extremely welcoming Isaac and Marissa in the bars. There were many other team members that were exceptional (Niz in the restaurant and two other people (sorry didn't get the names of two other people working in the same section of the restaurant, but one was a really friendly slim lady with dark hair who always wished us 'Bon Appetito' and a tall man with dark hair about forty five years old, tremendously professional). Marco and Ruth need some training from these guys on etiquette and friendliness. Reception desk staff always superb too. With regards the hotel, really spacious, everywhere felt open with loads of seating and relaxation options. The views.. breathtaking from every angle. There are several elements that detract this hotel from being a pure five-star hotel in our eyes - but don't let that put you off. Some masonry work in need of some tlc, no tea and coffee in the room, noisy road outside (only if you want to sit at your balcony), maybe not a problem with a higher room hight, and a few other minor items, but it's not far off in my view. The room was huge and the bed massive too, although a tad firm for my wife. A/C in the room was a bit asthmatic, but just about did the job and kept us cool although this feature is seasonal due to regulations not set by the hotel, so check in advance. The food was good, plenty of it, easy access to it and seats in the restaurant. Loads of options at breakfast also with ability to tailor. The desserts at meal times were various and of good quality. We were all inclusive and found the 'house' drinks to be lovely, trying the beers, wines, Bailey's etc. and all were up to par, little time waiting at all. Entertainment varied from good to very good, although that's not what we go for in the main. What we really loved was the hotel was pretty liberal and you didn't feel oppressed in any way. No inflatables in the pool and life guards always on duty. The village is minutes away, and the second part ten minutes away, just jump in the hotel lift that takes you to the road below, saves a big climb back up the hill, but a taxi was only six euros. So a really peaceful place, spent a lot of time reading by the pool on one of the many cabanas or loungers, and very few chavs on site, much to my delight. Would we come back, yes. A great relaxing break in a beautiful location. The best part of Tenerife I've been too. Thank you to all the staff who made our holiday one to remember 💚😎.
