Good place to stay for a few days with nice garden, pools and grills attached to apartaments.

Excellent stay - again!! We stayed for 10 nights and everything was excellent, room service very thorough, reception staff very welcoming, not the first time we've stayed here, but they still deserve the praise/review. We have already booked our next visit, even though we have only been home a couple of days!! Thank you all at Hyde Park Lane.

This was our first visit to the Hyde Park but not to Lanzarote,what a little gem, five minutes from the main *****. We stayed in a one bedroom bungalow which was lovely,the maids came in every other day, the pool although cold was a great size. We did self catering but the restaurant was set out like a five star hotel, and all the staff were very polite and smart. I can only say one negative which was there was no late check out facilities only showers downstairs which were communal however we had to use them.

I travelled with my family; we had a 1 bed apartment each and paid for half board. The apartments had a bedroom with 2 singles or a double bed and there was a sofa in the living area but not a sofa bed; however it was big enough for 1 person to sleep on. There was a small kitchenette with a double hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, fridge with small freezer compartment and cooking utensils etc, although we didn’t use them for cooking as we were half board and ate out for lunch. There was an adult and children’s pool and a splash area and playground in the main area near the bar and restaurant, and another adult and children’s pool across the road (which was near our apartments) which were quieter and we always got a sun bed easily. Some reviews have said that the pools were freezing; I didn’t find them freezing, but the deeper adult pools were fresh, but not nearly as cold as other outdoor pools I have experienced, so I found them fine, especially on a hot day. The staff were all very helpful and friendly; especially Eva, who was absolutely wonderful and was particularly lovely with my grandson; and David who put on the kids mini disco at 5 Monday-Friday and made it great fun and a lot of effort into it. There were other activities going on but we didn’t participate because we were doing other things. There was a great selection of food at breakfast and dinner. However, the labelling was very poor. It wasn’t always clear what the dishes were, or what allergens the foods contained, this could and should be improved. For example my grandson has a dairy allergy but we couldn’t tell what contained milk and what didn’t, and sometimes the staff didn’t know either. It is a very quiet and peaceful resort, so very suitable for families with young children. There is not much going on in the evening and they could be very quiet. Entertainment started at 9pm most evenings but that was too late for us with a 3 year old; it would have been better if it has started at 8, then we could have enjoyed some of it. That said, most people seemed to go out in the evenings so it was fairly quiet anyway. The resort is a 5-10 minute walk to a fabulous unspoilt, gently shelving beach with fine golden sand, and some lovely restaurants a bit further along. Lots of sun beds available for hire and wind breakers around them. The sea was beautiful and clear and calm enough to swim. The resort is very clean with beautifully maintained gardens. All in all it was excellent value for money for what we paid and I would recommend, especially if you have young children, or want a quiet retreat away from the noisy party scene. I would very probably return again. The main area for improvement in my opinion would be to improve the labelling of the food and the allergens it contains.

We spent a week at this very nice hotel in the beginning of June. There are some great positives and a couple of slight downsides. The main positives first and foremost are the staff. Those on reception, the restaurant/bar staff and the cleaners one and all where never more then very helpful and very friendly. Their brilliant, attentive attitude towards their guests goes a very long way to make a good holiday great. Well done all. We stayed in a one bedroom lower floor apartment. No. 220, at the far end. Very quiet part of the complex on the other side of the road. It's usual holiday fare. ie nice, but could do with a little updating and sprucing up. It was very clean though. In the kitchen you find the usual sparse holiday cutlery and eating/drinking implements. Being Brits, we like a big mug of tea in the morning. Small mugs will not do. So make a note to take your own large mugs if like us you need that bit extra. The air conditioning worked fine, no grumbles there. The TV and internet also worked fine. TV with various BBC channels. There is a patio outside with a table and 4 chairs. What was missing was a couple of sun loungers. Not everyone wants to go to the pool or the beach. It would have been nice to lounge around the apartment in the nice and quiet garden. Another ****** is one for the ladies. My partner found it very frustrating that there was no dresser, chair and mirror in the bedroom foe her to do her make up. Even though there was plenty of space to have them. It meant having to stand up in the hall way or bathroom. First world problems I know. But important she feels. There two pools. Most of the time we stayed at the pool 'our side' of the road. Usually plenty of sunbeds for everyone but you do get a couple of 'those' people who throw towels on them then disappear for hours on end. Note that both pools have children's pools too so in this hotel you wont get away from the kids. I'm not a grumbler about kids, they have the right to have their fun. I just put in my headphones and zoned out. But, it would have been great if it was an adults only pool, with the kids sticking to the bigger pool with kids area over the other side. But I appreciate it is a family hotel and it is what it is. Restaurant. We went half board. We where both very surprised that the restaurant wasn't overly busy an any time of the morning or evening. No worries having to find or wait for a table at any time. It made for very pleasant dining. Their was plenty of food with plenty to choose from, with a different theme every night. Slight grumble was that the hot options weren't really hot, merely warm. The deserts were also a bit samey. Didn't stop us eating like Kings though. Location. The hotel is about 5 minute walk north of the massive and fabulous Poccilos beach. At the bottom of the road is a bar/resuarant (Avenida) with very friendly staff and cold beers. Apart from that, there's not much else about. Its a very nice half hour walk in either direction,
