Terrible
The worst experience of our long trip. Two nightmare nights. All it took was arriving at reception to realize that the photos were the complete opposite of reality. When we got to our room, after 10 minutes, a cockroach the size of a finger entered through the gap between the door and the floor. Tired after a long day of traveling, we crawled under the covers and found dead insects, hair, and similar debris. A piece of glass on the floor almost hit my foot. The bathroom was dirty, with spiders in the shower and dead ants on the toilet. But that's not all: after all-day trekking, I couldn't take a shower because the hot water wasn't working. I notified reception and they said they'd come and fix it the next day, but luckily I left early... without a shower! I almost forgot... the outlet next to the bed is loose from the wall and doesn't work. At least breakfast wasn't as bad as everything else.

It's a bit far from the city center, but if you take a taxi it's not a problem to get there.
There were a lot of comments about the humidity being a problem, but the weather was nice when we stayed so it wasn't a problem at all.
There was a large bathtub, a spacious shower room, a comfortable bed and good amenities. I'm very satisfied.

Just like in the photos. The service is excellent. Being in the jungle makes it very peaceful. Keep in mind that for anything outside the hotel you'll need to take a taxi or have your own car; the hotel offers a taxi service and it works quite well.

Avoid this dangerous place !!! It is poorly maintained which led to floorboards decaying and collapsing causing injury . Staff disinterested and more concerned with chatting amongst themselves

Awesome breakfast variety for all styles of breakfast, great bar and restaurant for dinner, kids loved the pool.

We had a pleasant stay at La Reserva Virgin Lodge. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was very good with a nice variety. Overall, it felt like a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The only downside was the late checkout policy. When I requested just a one-hour late checkout, I was charged $100, which felt excessive and a bit disappointing.

I can't recommend this hotel. Rooms are adequate but restaurant and bar service was the worst I have experienced travelling for 1 months and 4 countries in South America. The bar served gin but had no tonic. No bar snacks by the pool that had families swimming between 6 and 7. Rude staff. There is a lot of options so I advise looking elsewhere.

We stayed three nights in the 700 units. Long walk to dinner, bar, pool but the units are new, spacious and well designed. The pool and deck are showing their age but were very refreshing. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Drinks are the bar were generous and tasty.

This is a strange hotel .it has very nice rooms set in a rainforest setting .They are clean although starting to get a little tired .but overall very comfortable. But the restaurant and pool areas are very tired and in need of substantial refurbishment. Worst of all though is the catering .Breakfast is a miserable affair as is dinner .I cannot imagine the level of incompetence that has led to this situation. The staff are miserable, unhelpful and appear to lack any motivation . Luckily a short taxi ride into town will deliver great restaurants ,people and service. Why bother ,stay somewhere else
