Birthday celebration- location was perfect. Off season - Weather in the 90's - more staff than guests. Breakfast at the pool everyday with spectacular views, no one else was there. Take the classic car tour for 3 hours - well worth it. Rooms were ideal - spa was most accommodating - booked 2 different massages plus the Romantic Getaway package - Itself a great deal. Ana - our reservation specialist was responsive and to the point on all requests. Greilly our concierge handled all requests even on short notice and gave great advice, Looking forward to a return trip in the Fall!

Don’t read anymore reviews and just book it. This place is amazing the service the rooms the views and especially the food. Stayed with parents and kids there for a few days Christmas week 2025.

A spectacular hotel and beach 20 minutes from the Puerto Plata cruise port. My wife and I were on a cruise and booked a day pass for this hotel during our port stay. Booked directly with the hotel, not through the cruise line. Amazing, amazing find. Beautiful grounds, buildings and beach. For a very reasonable price, we got the use of a hotel room, the restaurant, pool, spa, etc. Room and common spaces were spotlessly clean. Having the use of the actual hotel room for the day was so convenient - we could shower and change comfortably, instead of in a cabana on the beach. Stayed for lunch, and the restaurant (both food and service) were amazing. Staff could not have been nicer. We are actually considering coming back for a long weekend, we liked it so much. Highly recommend.

The Hotel was amazing, the people unforgettable and wonderful. The room we had Dona Rosa was perfect. The location was also close to downtown. The value was good, we had one of the most expensive rooms it was a bit higher. It was clean throughout the hotel. No noise, of course, no entertainment either. Service impeccable. Amenities great! Victoria was so sweet and brought me a special honey to bring home.

I am a hard to impress, seasoned international traveler. I feel compled to share my impression about Casa Colonial, a small boutique hotel, right outside Porto Plata, on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. Case Colonial is the ultimate luxury boutique hideaway. A short two hour flight from Miami to the nearby POP airport, or a 4 hour drive from Santo Domingo. This hotel is a pleasant surprise and a benchmark for highest quality hospitality. With a background in high-end waterfront home architecture and construction, my partner Debbie, was wowed and impressed. This hotel earned our deep respect for the investment in, and maintanence of, quality and details. The staff is superb. They try to anticipate one's needs before the words are uttered. The tropical garden is at a level of a botanical garden. The food is excelent athe dining experience is wild class. The beach is clean, pristine and the Atlantic breeze mitigates the summer heat. Case Colonial is a perfect 10!

As beautiful as the rooms, food, and facilities are at Casa Colonial Beach & Spa, what truly makes this hotel extraordinary is the people. Every single member of the staff was gracious, warm, and genuinely attentive. From the moment we were picked up by the hotel shuttle, the experience felt seamless. When we arrived, Odalis greeted us with such warmth that he set the tone for the entire stay before we even stepped inside. Franklyn then made the check-in process effortless and welcoming. Our room was kept immaculate by Monica, whose housekeeping was efficient, thoughtful, and wonderfully unobtrusive. Even simple moments became memorable. Jordan and Joel made stopping by the lobby bar a pleasure each evening, and Rosalina created a heavenly poolside atmosphere with her delicious drinks and welcoming smile. Everything else - from room service to the restaurant, the spa, golf arrangements, and the beach - was excellent. The entire experience felt polished and relaxing from beginning to end. A special thank-you as well to Victoria (breakfast), Perla (spa), Felix (who kindly shuttled us by golf cart to nearby restaurants and shops), and Hilary and Ramon, who were all wonderful. I’ve taken many vacations, but I’ve never left one remembering the names of so many people who made the stay special. At Casa Colonial, I did - because they truly are that remarkable. We did not want to leave.

Absolutely wonderful resort. Private, luxurious, attention to detail, phenomenal food, private beach. Much different atmosphere than large resorts with too many people. Highly recommend!

All I can say it wow!!! Everything was perfect. The people were so kind and helpful. We were there 12 days and the rest of the month spent in Samana and Sousa.
