Akita fue muy lindo! Comida fresca y deliciosa. We loved it here, small portions for some, but perfect for me!

In short this resort is really special! I reccomend a 7 day package stay for about 1800/w tax per adult, I would not spend much more as its missing some in some details for that value explained below. We loved the food everday, especially the local mexican dishes wow! Never tasted anything like it before. Very fast service and always stocked, but they need to do better to make sure birds never touch the food or spoons ever. The pools, beach and ocean location is stunning, great fun for the kids and long walks, perfect sunsets. But some days pools got cloudy, debris from guests not cleaned off the breach in morning is bit unsightly and makes you not want to go in. This resort excells the most with its staff, great people, always friendly and helpful. Any allergies were always taken to heart, yet none of the dishes are well labeled so you cant blindly trust anything so be prepared to work with staff daily. Room was big and did the job but small details were not great like mirror was damaged, backdoor did not seal cloaed fully so bugs got into room a bit if you left food out. The pull out sofa mattress was awful, never used it. Small things they should know to fix easily. Resort is very big which allows for great variety of pools and food spots, but can take a few minutes to walk to different spots, not the most convienent for strollers and getting something simple as a coffee, water or a mid day burger need to be more accessable in places like the villa. Again wildly simple fixes to gain them better reviews and stars. But none of these are deal breakers. Overall location is great, 10 min walk to groceries, banks, shops, icecream stores, rentals. 30 mins to air port or the famous pier.

I just want to say the staff at Canto Del Sol are simply amazing. Tiki Tiki aka Carlos is phenomenal. He goes to any length to make your day at the pool spectacular. He makes sure your drink is never empty. Finds you loungers and umbrellas. He is unbelievable. Vianey..Alex..Juan in the lobby bar are amazing. Paying attention too everything u want. Alex makes the best high-end cocktails and Vianey delivers them with a smile so big. Erick was also one of the best and worked in all areas. He was so polite and fun Alexia and Alverro aka Bruno Mars at the pool are the warmest people ever. They have all become my friends because I keep going back to see them. I return to this resort for the staff. From the entertainment to the bar....I give kudos to them all. They feel like family to me. The food unfortunately at the resort isn't the best but these exceptional people make up for it.

The best thing about this resort was the grounds. Absolutely beautiful and well taken care of. Grounds keepers were amazing! Where to start? When we arrived the resort was about 30% full. We had requested pool or garden view, understanding you don’t always get what you request. Room was ok, a bit outdated but clean. Let’s get to the balcony. About five feet long and wide enough to put two plastic lawn chairs on, sideways. Sitting on the balcony, you couldn’t see over as it was all concrete. When you stood on the balcony, you got to look over the walkway that the locals used and got to watch them do their business. Day two, we went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager, Christobal. We asked to be moved to a different room and he informed us, that for an additional 55.00 Canadian/night, they would move us. Day three, we spoke to the NEXUS agent and he told us they should be able to move us, as capacity was only 30%. Received an email from him two days later and he said they would move us. Went to the front desk and the woman we spoke with, claimed to know nothing. Finally after she spoke with Christobal, they had a bellhop show us to a different room. Lo and behold, this time we would get to look over the roofs at the back of the resort. Needless to say, we decided not to let this ruin our holiday. The staff were friendly, minus the front desk staff and a lot did go out of their way to help. The à la carte restaurants were amazing, especially the Italian. The resort is centrally located, within good walking distance to the Malecon. Not a resort I would go back to.

My experience was just what I needed. My whole family enjoyed themselves. The food was delicious at all hours. All the staff was ready to serve us. I recommend this resort to everyone.

Best restaurant experience I’ve ever had on vacation! Very professional staff, excellent food and drinks, very efficient service. We also ordered dessert but I dug into the plate before I could take the picture :) If you’re looking for a pleasant, fancy dinner experience, this is the place to go.

Went to Mi Morenita for 75th birthday celebration with family. Great service included Don Cayo tequila shots, and secial birthday cake for dessert! Great service and food!

Hotel is very clean good food at restaurant japanese very good but is no place where to seat on the beach and no night show

Solo trip for 9 nights. Had a great time. Everything was exactly right for the price I paid. Service was great. Good was ok not amazing but at that price eating out in the food centric Versailles for a few lunches and dinners worked out great to mix it up Definitely a few easy things I would advise management on that could step it up a bit but absolutely no issues during my trip. The ceviche restaurant was an incredible option which I took advantage of nearly every day. For a great budget friendly option I would definitely return.
