The room was spacious and clean. The air conditioner work very well. The pool was clean and wonderful. The breakfast that was included was delicious and filled us up. We would stay here again.

Negativo: Hab #8, El piso de la habitación cruje demasiado, aparte que se escucha todo en la noche ya que la habitación está al frente de la calle. Varias cosas estaban dañadas ( puerta del baño, sillas, y tubo de cortina ) deben revisar cómo.huesoedes todo y reportar sino se los pueden cobrar. El piso al rededor de la piscina es sumamente resbaloso deberían aislarlo ya que puede alguien salir herido Positivo: A 500 MTS del Centro, encuentras transporte rápido A punta uva un tuktuk te lleva por 5000. Cerca de Cocles y deben visitar panadería el francés un éxito.

Siento que el precio es elevado para lo que ofrecen. No hay tranquilidad. Para poder dormir y descansar había que pedir a los de recepción que callaran a los huéspedes cerca de nosotros, el piso del segundo piso es de madera y toda la bulla y cada paso de los huéspedes de arriba se escucha abajo y toda la noche. Solicité almohadas extras y nunca me las llevaron. El área de lavado no tenía luz, por lo que ase**** y maquill**** era casi imposible. Las sillas de la cafetería muy duras y altas. La calidad de un desayuno típico, demasiada baja. Parecía más comida nicaragüense que tica.

Just stayed here for 9 days and we loved the pool, although it could do with being cleaned more frequently as the tiles tended to be quite dirty. We were sent the wrong room confirmation prior to booking so the manager kindly upgraded us to a double suite for the error and it was great. The air works like a charm and the room is clean with comfy beds, housekeeping do a great job every day. The only problem we had with the room was that it is LOUD due to footsteps on the ceiling above. This woke me up nearly every morning which was a shame but managed to get back to sleep. The breakfast included in the room rate is tasty and consistent, with there being free fruit then coffee served all day which we appreciated. Staff were also happy to fill up your water bottle with their filtered water but it would be even better if they had a water fountain or something for us to do this ourselves! The food served at the restaurant every day is very expensive though, chips and guac are like $10 The actual hotel is really nicely designed, homely and clean. It has a great location opposite to the beach and plenty of shops. Most of the staff go above and beyond, however they don’t speak much English. A few times some of them came across as a bit rude but Im hopeful they this was just due to the language barrier as all of the reviews here talk about how nice they are. Deffo recommend this place!

My third stay at Lizard King Hotel & Suites in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. Great location, walking distance to everything, close to the beach, restaurant's and convenience store. The Staff are always friendly and helpful, I recommend staying here. Pet friendly, A/C, pool, bar, WiFi, free parking and free breakfast.
