Les chambres ont certainement l’une des plus belles vues que l’ont puisse avoir en NZ : le lac Pukaki et le Mt Cook en arrière plan. Mais ce qui marque le plus, surtout pour des français, est la qualité du restaurant. Parmi les meilleures tables de l’île du Sud après 4 semaines! Bravo au(x) chef(s)! Les produits utilisés ont du goût, ce qui est assez exceptionnel ici….. Seul bémol à l’établissement: la route en contrebas est passante. Le bruit peut un peu gêner si vous êtes très sensibles.

Stunning location at the head of the lake, with a direct line of sight to Mt. Cook at the other end of the lake, some 30 miles away. Only 5 superbly equipped rooms, all with views down the lake and a large bath tub under the bathroom window that allows you to soak and enjoy that wonderful view at the same time. The food is Michelin quality; delicious is an insufficient word to describe just how good it is. The lodge is located in an official Dark Sky location that offers the most wonderful view of the Milky Way and the cosmos at night under the direction of Mike, the night sky guide. Perfection!

A well maintained property that maintains its high standards from our previous visit in 2019. Welcoming staff providing great customer service. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean with access to a small garden area overlooking the turquoise blue Lake Pukaki. Evening meals provide a three course meal that is well cooked and tasty with a good wine menu. Breakfast has a full menu to choose from and is well prepared. We did their Star at Night tour which is well worth it as the sky was full of stars - we learnt a lot.

Probably the best view from a hotel room that we've ever had! The rooms themselves were lovely, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the food was simply superb. This is the only hotel on Lake Pukaki and, as such, is in a unique position - right on an incredible lake and close to both Mt Cook National Park and Lake Tekapo.

A great lodge in a beautiful location. Stunning views of Lake Pukaki and Mount Cook. Wonderful rooms with a little private terrace and rock garden. Very comfortable bed, nicely decorated rooms and spacious bathroom. Though located close to the road the rooms are very quiet. Breakfast and dinner are included and everything is simply delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great service. Not cheap but you get a very good value for your money. Highly recommended.
