My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights while on a 10 day trip to Peru. Our experience was mixed. I’ll start with the positives: great location on Lake Titicaca with beautiful views, good service from the front desk that helped with taxis and airport transfers, and decent food at the restaurant. Breakfast buffet had a lot of options both Peruvian and international. Now to the negatives I think you should be aware of before booking: 1) BUGS - this hotel is situated by the lake and doesn’t have AC so windows are kept open for ventilation. As a result, expect bugs! when we stepped into our room, there were bugs everywhere by the windows!! We spent the first hour killing about 30+ bugs so that we could sleep with peace of mind 2) Not your typical “5-star” hotel. This hotel is outdated - beds, carpet, bathrooms are all very worn and old. You can tell that this hotel hasn’t really been renovated since it’s opened…outside of the TVs that have Netflix. In most places, I would consider this a 3 star hotel. I will say that we paid 400+ for 2 nights here and expected a lot more for that price. However if you’re only paying 100-200$, this is a fine stay.
