This hotel does not represent a five star hotel. Upon arrival there was a situation at check in which prompted my desire to speak to the manager. The assistant asked the manger over the phone to come and meet me personally at my request. The manager had the excuse of a “zoom” meeting, for which I asked to please contact me immediately. For two days not one attempt to contact me and resolve the issue. I have stayed at several 5 stars hotels in Punta del Este and Montevideo and have never seen a manager that cares so little for its costumers. It seems to be a money-hungry system where you feel just like a number. The manager Gabriel should get out of his office and provide its staff members better training in costumer service, and more importantly, use a little of personal “touch” to handle certain situations rather than staying behind a desk. Staff seems upset, not friendly, all around the property, except for vallet boys upfront. I will not return to this hotel in the future, and recommend ******* to remove it advertising it as a 5 start hotel. Hence the huge discount promotions you see lately. You can feel it. It is a mediocre 3 star hotel level. They lack costumer service training and professionalism. It does not represent a good experience to a future traveler that wish to receive outstanding service. It looks old, outdated and not very convenient. Construction site right next to the left side of the hotel makes it unbearable to relax with the noise level.
