Picturesquely located and quiet hotel. There is no elevator, so it is not always easy for the elderly to reach the t****th floor with the rotating staircase. Directly at various bus stops and parking at the door. Nice and clean room, but noisy as this hotel is located on a noisy bridge and traffic frequently passes there at night. Breakfast was provided (not too much but everything was provided) and was arranged by a gentle, friendly, pleasant and helpful woman. Wendy: BIG kudos! My and Mama's birthdays were also the day after each other and Wendy provided a nicely decorated table and 2 beautiful bouquets of tulips that we enjoyed at home for a week afterwards. In short: we often think back to it with many wonderful memories…

Very nice establishment for the quality of the room: very clean bathroom, top bedding, perfect room... Hearty breakfast... Very friendly welcome (even with my very weak English) Really recommended! Edam and Volendam are very cool too!!!!

Great location, rooms newly renovated. Beautiful views by the canal. Breakfast was great. Loved 2 days her and the sun was shining. Staff at breakfast were lovely. Send code for front door and room door. Could not fail and would definitely recommend.

During our 40 kilometer bike ride we passed this restaurant around lunchtime, where we found a table for 4 on the terrace in the shade of a large parasol. We drove past an earlier terrace, as the tables there were largely occupied, and decided to drive a little further. We were greeted by a young woman who greeted us very enthusiastically and we immediately felt welcome. We first ordered a drink and consulted the lunch menu, which is not extensive and printed on A4, as the menu was made at the printer, it was explained to us. That was certainly not a problem for us, especially with the friendly explanation. We ordered some salad dishes and an omelette. The salads were presented very neatly in a round bowl and were sufficient and tasty for lunch. We used the toilet inside and it looked clean and hygienic. We received unsolicited advice to drive around the bend through the town of Edam to enjoy authentic houses and interesting shops. We followed this advice and it is indeed a nice part of the Netherlands to see. All in all, we were satisfied with our visit, which was mainly due to the friendly attitude of the young lady.

The room was nice and clean. We stayed only for a night. Free car park is not next to the hotel but near by(3-5mins) walk.
Breakfast options could be better. Limited menu!

Upon arriving into the hotel room I was annoyed as pictures online didn't show that we would be booking a room with no actual window providing a view, instead there was a small cellar window with a painting of the sea, therfore the room had no view at all and felt really small. The room had dust which effected my hayfever but also the loud banging of doors in the morning and machine noise was awful to wake up too. The kettle in room often had black bits coming out of it which I didn't realise until my throat was hurting on our 3rd day. I'm annoyed and disappointed in my experience. However the good point was the polite lady at breakfeast, location and the outdoor look of the building. I don't think I would stay here again as the pictures were abit disciving online as to the views you get.

No housekeeping services during our full period of stay ( 3 nights). Very disappointing as housekeeping is one of the reasons why we do not book Airbnb properties . Returning to a messy hotel room after a long day journey is just not , ideal. Please add housekeeping to future guests your property is very charming and staff members very helpful . Regards , Eddie
