Anantaya Resort & Spa Chilaw

The room was nice and big but didn't get why they opted for see-through glass walls (some blinds covering it!) for bathroom?

We had a truly superb experience at Anantaya Resort & Spa, Chilaw — one that we will cherish for a long time! What stood out most was the perfect balance the staff strike between being attentive and giving guests their space. There was no unnecessary interference, which made us feel completely at home — as if the entire resort belonged to us. That sense of freedom and privacy is something rare and truly special. One thing that particularly impressed us was their flexibility with room arrangements. As most hotels strictly allow a maximum of three guests per room, we were pleasantly surprised when the resort accommodated our family by allowing our two children, both above 12 years, to stay together with us in a spacious quad room. This thoughtful gesture made our family stay so much more comfortable and convenient — and it truly reflects the guest-first mindset of the management. The rooms were comfortable, well-appointed, and immaculately maintained. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-class getaway in Sri Lanka. We will definitely be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful and memorable stay at Anantaya Resort & Spa, Chilaw! From the moment we arrived, everything was handled perfectly. The resort itself is stunning, and the view is breathtakingly beautiful perfect for a relaxing getaway. A huge shoutout to the incredible team for their top-notch service. Everything we requested was arranged precisely and beautifully without any delay. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sithmi, Oshadi, Devyani, Milan, and Apsara for their outstanding hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail. They truly went above and beyond to make our day so special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service and a beautiful view!

The whole experience throughout the stay was very good and also Hotel is in a beautiful and quiet location which we enjoyed so much and its was a very relaxing time. The rooms and the wahsrooms are also comfortable and if you could give bit of more attention to maintenance of washroom will be much better. The food was very good and the staff was very good and they are very helpful. Overall experience was fantastic.

We had a good experience during our HB stay at Anantaya Resort and Spa Chilaw on 24th May 2026. We really enjoyed: The good food Friendly and supportive staff Beautiful room interior Hotel view and overall arrangements However, I would also like to mention a few areas for improvement: There was a baby urine smell coming from the bed sheet. The check-in arrangement was delayed. There was a bad smell coming from outside the dining area. I am sharing this feedback to help improve the hospitality service of your hotel, because many people are interested in visiting your place and I would like to feel confident recommending it to others. Even with these issues, we enjoyed our stay very much and had a pleasant day overall.

My family and extended family stayed at Anantaya, Chilaw during the Sinhala New Year holidays and spent New Years at the hotel (they had a lovely New Year festival on 15th April). Our experience was really good. The room we stayed in which was suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. The service by the hotel staff was exceptional, they were friendly and all ways willing to help with our inquiries. The restaurant staff was exceptional too. We had a toddler with us and the attention given by the restaurant staff (specially the lead chef's) on our toddlers meal requirements was appreciated. Overall our experience was really good and we hope to visit the hotel again. Cheers.

The very moment we entered the resort what we saw was the view and it was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly. And the rooms were very clean and spacious and same with the massive pool which was right in front of our room which made it possible for our family and friends to have fun for hours. The surrounding was very calm and you could just enjoy the view for hours. And finally the food was delicious with different varieties and choices you could choose from. Just make sure you book for atleast two days cuz there's infinite stuff you could do here and have fun lol. Absolutely worth the price and we enjoyed the stay to the fullest!
