Suriya Resort

We recently had our corporate team outing at Suriya Resort, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was well-organized, making it easy for our team to relax and enjoy the day. A special thanks to Shanuka for coordinating everything so smoothly, his effort really made a difference and ensured we had a hassle-free experience. The resort offered a great balance of fun and relaxation. The team games were engaging and brought everyone together, the food was delicious with a good variety, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The peaceful environment added to the overall experience, making it perfect for unwinding. We would highly recommend Suriya Resort for corporate outings or team-building getaways. Looking forward to visiting again!

We stayed in a suite at the hotel for 10 days and couldn’t have asked for more from the holiday. The suites are large. Clean and well maintained, and we had an amazing view of the sea and sunset from the balcony. The staff were friendly, chatty and very accommodating. They did everything they could to make our stay memorable. The food was fantastic. The pool is clean, yes there are crows, dogs and a cat, but the pool and surrounding areas are kept very clean, they didn’t bother us at all. There is lovely birdsong throughout the day and the three dogs weren’t interested in people, they just sat in the shade and roamed around a bit, in fact they were quite sweet. The general manger was readily available and the spa was luxurious (Balinese massage…amazing!) too. Sri Lanka is beautiful and the people are exceptional. ❤️

We only stayed the one night thankfully and could not leave quick enough. Our room had mould and was in need of a major makeover. There was mould on the blinds the air return and in the shower. The bed covers were pulled and in need of replacing, the blind in the bathroom broken and the chairs around the pool area covered in bird dropping thanks to the numerous amount of crows. The crows are everywhere even in the pool They did try to remove the crows from the pool but they returned within 5 minutes. The crows are that bad they have somebody standing outside the restaurant to scare them away. The restaurant food was okay but after our room experience we were very nervous. The cat and dog wondering through the restaurant did not help our concerns. The air conditioning was too loud to have on at night and the ceiling fan looked like it was about to fall down. The exhaust fan in the bathroom could be heard out in the hallway. Overall a very disappointed first night in Sri Lanka.

We had a wonderful evening at Sooriya Resort and would especially like to thank Jayantha and the entire staff for their outstanding hospitality and excellent service throughout our stay at the premises. Their warm welcome, friendly attitude, and attention to detail truly made the experience memorable and relaxing. Highly appreciate the professionalism and care shown by the team. Looking forward to visiting again!

We recently went on our staff trip and I should say the stay was wonderful. What I loved most is the view of the sea and the location of the pool. The rooms were comfortable and the meals were also very good. Superb experience..

We had a lovely stay at Suriya Resort on 13th and 14th April. This was actually my first visit to the property, as I usually stay at Club Hotel Dolphin when travelling to Waikkala, so it was a nice change for me. I must say the overall experience was excellent. The resort has a very pleasant atmosphere, the staff were warm, attentive and welcoming throughout the stay, and the food was genuinely very good. We tried both the buffet and the in-room dining, and both were very enjoyable. The food was tasty, well prepared and the quality was consistently good. It was a short stay, but a very pleasant one, and honestly one night was not enough. I would be very happy to return again. Thank you to the team at Suriya Resort for making the stay such an enjoyable one.

The Suriya is a beautiful hotel, with friendly and attentive staff. The pool and grounds are beautiful, with direct view of the sea. On this occasion I made use of the spa facilities, Le Lily Spa where I was welcomed by Niranjan. Who gave me a relaxing Balinese massage. The professionalism and relaxation experienced had me returning for a second massage. The room is comfortable and the oils used help to create an ambience. Niranjan worked very hard to ensure I felt completely relaxed and that I was comfortable. Following the massage, I was invited to relax for a few more moments before being greeted with a cup of cinnamon and lime tea. The Suriya is a beautiful hotel, and the spa facilities and staff within it add to the luxury.

We were on a 12 day road trip with our very close friends who are visiting SL on a one year vacation and we enjoyed every minute of our stay at Suriya. The Resort Manager Mr Arju was very friendly and helpful and made sure that we were treated like VIP guests from the time we arrived till we checked out!! We were even given a complimentary room upgrade since we were returning guests to Suriya. Since we were very tired after the long journey from Mannar, your front office representative Ms Shamila came to our suite to handle the check-in paperwork and our welcome drinks were brought to our suite. Mr James your F&B representative was always around to help us in the restaurant. Your assistant restaurant and bar manager Mr Shanuka Fernando made the most amazing cocktails for us and you should use the slogan “Best Cocktails in Negombo” Some of the cocktails he made for us was “ACHCHARU, Spice Berry Smash and Passion Mojito!! ACHCHARU was our favourite. The following team members, Marasinghe, Suresh, Rachidu and Muthu were very helpful to us during our stay and your Housekeeping team did a very good job with cleaning our suite!! We also had the pleasure of meeting the chairman of the resort Mr Eric Suriyasena during our stay!!
